Heavy Rains pounded the Pacific Northwest!🙄
Silvertop remembers one of our neighbors, a local police officer, knocking on our front door early one Sunday morning!😮
“What’s up Dan?”…………..
“Silvertop, we just tried to drive down the Mountain to go to Church, the main road in the valley is under water!”😳
Today was looking like a repeat!…………..
The second photo is as close as Liz and Silvertop could get to the river today! It is currently sitting at 81 feet, and flood stage is 83 feet!🙄

Rocky shorelines are so interesting, you never know what kind of “Special” rock the Mrs might find Lol!😇

Today all this shoreline is deep underwater, with large dangerous trees colliding with each other, and then continuing to float swiftly downstream!😮
Instead of getting completely soaked, the Mrs and Silvertop made today a Costco day!☺️
As we were checking out a hot tub that was on display, our old Pastor and his Wife walked up to us………
The last flood, completely destroyed their home down in the valley, in the Border town of Sumas!
“Are you guys worried about the river rising I asked!”…………
“We have been checking the USGS website Silvertop, we are keeping a close eye on the river!”🙄
Seems like the thing to do, I’m sure we aren’t the only ones pulling up the USGS river depth website!
As we left Costco, with our car full of today’s shopping, I pulled up the USGS sight one more time…………
“Liz it’s still at 81 feet and for the moment, the rain has stopped!”🤗
