“We Are Not Alone!”😳
Last year, it was so much easier to keep track of the local Cougar population with snow on the ground!😺
This year the Cougars have the upper hand, or should I say “Paw” Lol!😮
They can track us very easily, but I have no idea where, or how many, Cougars we have nearby!🙄
“Cot, you should be glad you are an “Indoor Mountain Lion”, it’s cold outside my boy!😻
Big or small, Cats have very similar personalities!
Just before Christmas, Tessa our neighbor from the tiny house, knocked on our front door……………
If you remember my post a while back, talking about how they go door to door handing out Christmas gift bags!😍
Silvertop’s front door has a large decorative cast iron door knocker.
It makes a deep impressive sound reverberating through a thick hand made Douglas fur front door!☺️
Instantly……my very brave “Baby Mountain Lion”, lowered himself almost flat against the floor, and scurried “leg less” for safety behind our washer and dryer!😳😻
Hours passed ……………….
Cot sat perfectly still alongside the washing machine, as he watched intently down the hallway………..
“HE” knew someone, or something, was STILL hiding in “HIS” house, and he wasn’t going anywhere near our great room, or the front door Lol!😇🤣
“My brave boy, Dad can only hope that your relatives in the Mountains are just as spooky Lol!”😺
As I hiked through the shadows of the darker sections of the Mountains today, more than once I paused and looked up…..and behind me!🙄
“Did you hear that?”……….😳
It was probably just a Deer………..
Maybe……….😇
Silvertop should be heading back home, it’s almost dark!😺
