PEPE has been carrying around this hatchet, trying to impress Liz with all the hard work he has been doing!

It’s been a very technical chainsawing experience, cutting my way through these fallen trees!🙄
You can see from the third photo, parts of some of these trees, are pinned by other trees, and under extreme tension!🙄
One wrong cut, and a large section of one tree could “Pinch” my saw, potentially leaving my saw stuck in the log, or it could “Kick” the chainsaw back at me!😮
I always cut slowly on a potential problem spot, watching the gap/ Kerf……………
If I see the “Kerf” start to “close up”, Silvertop will stop cutting, and figure out a way to wider the gap, or finish cutting the problem cut by hand…….. just in case!😇
“PEPE….. come over here with your hatchet, and finish cutting this teeny tiny log Lol!”😇☺️
It always pays to have a least a second sharp cutting chain on hand!
One of the best investments I made, was purchasing this electric chain sharpener!😊
In less than ten minutes, I can re-sharpen a chain like new!💪😊
I have already sharpened my first chain once, cutting just on these trees!😇

This was December 7, and with the Holidays, and of course many days of rain, I think I have made good progress!😊
Each wheelbarrow load of cut logs, must be pushed up a hill, to where I continue to hand split these rounds, as they pile up, with my Ax!😅
Take a look at my stack of hand split firewood off in the background! This is just the “Green firewood”, I have almost a full cord of cut and split and stacked, standing dead in my woodshed!😊
