“Sir….. Do You Have A Permit For This Firewood?”
The Sun was out today, so Silvertop grabbed his chainsaw, and headed up to Will’s house to cut up some more “Free” firewood!😇
Suddenly I heard the sound of a large truck coming up our road …..FAST!😮
I had just fired up my chainsaw, when I saw a full sized Fire truck speeding towards me!😳
The truck came to a stop just past my pickup, blocking Will’s driveway…………
“Sir….we have been getting complaints/ reports from Canada, that someone is burning very large fires, over on the U.S. side of the border! We think these fires are somewhere up this road!”🤔
Within minutes Will, came walking out to the road to see what the commotion was all about!🙄
Even our next door neighbor came driving up the road to see about the smoke!😮
This Fire truck was dispatched from Sumas Wa. a small town with a U.S./ Canada Border crossing……………….
The Fireman in charge was telling us, that if they get large fires/ smoke, reports they are required to investigate…………….
Both Will, and Silvertop, let them know that loggers were burning brush, from a clearcut, about 1/8 of a mile further up our road!
“Thanks gentlemen, we will head up to make sure they have their fire permits up to date!”
“Wow ………… Will, I thought they were coming after me for my chainsawing Lol!”🤣😇
So very nice that they responded so quickly, our Firefighters are always very much appreciated!🤗👍😊
