“Shhhh…….Do You Hear That!”☺️ My Actifit Report Card: April 6 2026

“Shhhh…….. Do You Hear That?”☺️
I think I hear Spring (water)bubbling up!☺️
Our neighbor Lynne, was telling me, that the “Spring Trail” is the most boring trail ever Lol!😇
This trail is moderately steep, and continues straight up for about a quarter of a mile!
It’s worth the hike my friends!
Up top our neighbors Keith and Lynne have placed a wooden bench, so you can take a short rest, and snap photos of the Eastern side of Sumas Mountain!😊
Do you hear that?………😇
Next to the wooden bench, you will find two large water holding tanks that supply all the household water for Keith and Lynne.
If you listen carefully, you can quickly determine if the water “Ram” down in the valley far below, is still pumping water uphill and keeping these tanks full!😊
The water source is coming from the well you see in the fourth photo.
Liz and Silvertop just ran into Lynne the other day, and I was asking her if they ever ran out of water in the Summer!🤔
“Silvertop, this well is only fifty feet deep, and it does very good even in the dry Summer Months… although the water ram will occasionally stop pumping!”😮
If you aren’t familiar with how this ram operates, it works off the principle of perpetual emotion!
Water pressure pushes against a check valve and pumps a little water. Some of the spent water pushes the check valve back to the starting position…..…..
This continues theoretically on and on……
Until someone like Silvertop hikes past the Water Ram to check out how it works Lol!😇
“Hmmm…… our water Ram did stop the other day Silvertop!”🤔
“I do believe that was the day I hiked past the Ram, I don’t think it likes me Lynne Lol!”🤣😇
“Silvertop did you see our new wi-Fi game camera on the trail? We can instantly view photos from this camera that is connected to satellite Internet!”🤗
“It snapped photos of a Mother Black Bear, with THREE cubs following her! Then that same week, it also captured photos of a Cougar!”😳😺
It was such a warm day today almost 70°F, that I hiked without my bear spray!………🙄
A Mother Black Bear with Cubs, is probably much more dangerous than a Cougar that really doesn’t want to be anywhere near a human!
Be careful out there guys…. and Silvertop will do the same!😅
Keep enjoying the Great Outdoors….. safely …..my friends!🤗
Till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊

Lol, in Yosemite I used to see tourists posing their kids next to a bear digging in a dumpster, BETWEEN HER AND HER CUBS! I would just avert my gaze and go about my way. Darwin awards are given for a reason.

Lol....... Not too smart at all my friend!🙄
As a kid my parents used to take me to the Smoky Mountains and dozens of cars would be pulled off the side of the road feeding the bears from the rolled down windows of cars!!!
They are probably related to the people you saw at Yosemite Lol!!😇😅

Tourists are tourists it seems. So many people got gored by the deer in Wawona near the south entrance of the park they stopped letting cars pull over. Then the deer vanished in the droughts.

Tourists can be a problem at times...... when we lived in Gunnison Colorado, the locals called them "terrorist" ....Lol!!😇🤣

That's a fascinating water system that your neighbors have, my friend, and the local critters definitely seem to be active! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

It really is quite amazing that this water ram can pump thousands of feet uphill without electricity!👍😊

That sounds like an exceedingly intelligently-designed system! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
