Brilliant, my friend! How do you guys get internet? πππβ¨π€
Very nice, and that's exactly what I was figuring! We have a very custom system that uses a dual broadband router that connects to mobile networks, and it's on T-Mobile as of late, which has thankfully worked pretty well. I've been strongly considering getting Starlink just for me, however...hehe. πππβ¨π€
Itβs still a bit on the pricey sideβ¦.$120 a month π
We had just reached the point where is Ziply fiber was dropping out four or five times a day?
And it isnβt even fiberβ¦. They just doubled up the thin copper phone lines that run to each house. speeds were 20 to 21 Mbps on a good dayβ¦
Much, much less on a bad day.
We had to cross our fingers every day we posted, hoping that we didnβt lose Internet until we were finished Lol!
Ah, indeed, that is still quite expensive on a monthly basis! I definitely understand that, as I've experienced multiple iterations of abysmal internet. Even though our present internet service is not as good as Starlink, it's still far better, both in speed and bandwidth, and in stability, though I still dream of having Starlink some day. πππβ¨π€
We were kind of stuck between bad.... and worse Lol!
Starlink filled the bill!!πππ
Starlink is pretty much the best internet on the planet at the moment! Everyone with whom I've spoken has told me that Starlink works great, and that they love it! πππβ¨π€
With communication between satellites with lasers, in the ability to download to a ground station at any point on earth with low latency it's hard to top that!!
Now add the fact that we are solar powered on our end, so we are not dependent on the grid, it makes a very reliable combination!!ππ
I didn't know that they utilized lasers! That would definitely speed things up! That's badass, my friend, you've got a great setup! πππβ¨π€
