It's certainly one of them, and I'm super grateful for that! Beauty is so important for me, and for people in general! πππβ¨π€
How close are you to the possibility of a lava flow that would be the only thing that would concern me with Hawaii!
I have seen where it is taken out roads and housesπ
Yes, that's definitely a thing in this part of Hawai'i. We're in the most active lava zone. Indeed, I've seen quite a lot of things covered by lava. The structure in which I live, which is an open-air bamboo yurt, and from where I'm typing this, is constructed on top of the most recent 2018 lava flow that covered a small part of the property. πππβ¨π€
Be safe, my friend, that sounds like it could be dangerous!π
Hopefully the lava flows slowly and gives you plenty of advanced warning!
I appreciate that, Mike, thank you! I'm safe, I promise! Yes, usually when lava starts flowing, especially in a new area, there are earthquakes, and the first lava to come out of the ground, called a'a', is much cooler, chunkier, and it moves a lot more slowly than the much hotter and faster moving pahoehoe lava that comes out afterward. πππβ¨π€
Sounds like you had this down to a science my friend!!ππ
Good to hear it moves slowly at first, that will give you plenty of time if you must relocate!!!π
Indeed, my friend, after living out here for over 7 years, I've definitely synced up with the vibe of this place! Yep, it starts out inching along. Thank you, Mike, and I do hope that we won't have to relocate due to another lava flow! πππβ¨π€
Well, it would definitely be very inconvenient, and sad for all the plants that I have all over the property, but I'd likely be fine. Thank you for your care, my friend, I appreciate it. πππβ¨π€
