Sharing is caring, right? Today I share with you the highlights of my playlist iphone suggested me at random. I especially was pleased to get this cool transition: Yegor Letov > Tom Waits > Marie Laforet
Егор Летов и опизденевшие - Про червячков
Yegor Letov known as the leader of soviet punk-rock band 'Grazhdanskaya Oborona', was an outstanding person, poet, musician, visioner, thinker, sound engineer and diy-man, jack of all trades. I was a young fool while he was still alive, at the time I wasnt a regular gigs goer... so I missed the opportunity to attend his performances - although I know and love his music for the last 30 years. "The song about worms" is from my absolute favorite, outstanding recording 'Children's songs'. It is a fierce psychedelia; the sky color of a meat, and meat the color of a sky....
Tom Waits - Flash Pan hunter
Everybody knows Tom Waits... right? This song is from the great 'matured years' period of his back catalogue, I am particularly in love with it for its splendid lyrics. Do check what it is about, I think you will have fun!
Marie Laforet - La flûte magique
Marie Laforet performed pretty much lot of traditional songs in different languages, this one is Spanish. Not the very best song from her recordings but it definitely goes into the top-20 tunes. I have shivers every time I hear it in my headphones. This time I got extra excitement from the contrast of this song playback after Waits and Letov's singing.
They don't do it like that anymore! Lucky we. I hope you enjoyed today's music selection, and travelling around the globe without leaving the Hive. 😎 The post goes for Three Tune Tuesday challenge run by @ablaze.
