Hola a todos en este nuevo martes de Three Tune Tuesday, iniciativa convocada por el amigo @ablaze, que ya alcanza la edición número 233. Para hoy he vuelto para compartir un asombroso descubrimiento que hice ayer, gracias a YouTube. Se trata de la banda de rock, más específicamente de metal CALVA LOUISE, una banda multicultural, que reside en Inglaterra, y cuya líder, Jessica Allanic, es venezolana. Los otros miembros de esta banda, que ya tiene 10 años de trayectoria, son el francés Alizon Taho, bajista; así como el neozelandés Ben Parker, batería de la banda. Esta ha sido la formación original, la cual se mantiene, gracias a la fuerte amistad que les une. Demás está decir que los tres son músicos estupendos.
Hi everyone on this new Three Tune Tuesday, an initiative launched by my friend @ablaze, now in its 233rd edition. Today I'm back to share an amazing discovery I made yesterday, thanks to YouTube. It's the rock band, more specifically metal, CALVA LOUISE, a multicultural band based in England, whose lead singer, Jessica Allanic, is Venezuelan. The other members of this band, which has been around for 10 years, are French bassist Alizon Taho and New Zealander drummer Ben Parker. This has been the original lineup, which remains intact thanks to their strong friendship. Needless to say, all three are fantastic musicians.
Last night I was wide awake, scrolling through posts and videos on YouTube, when I stumbled across a video by a Spanish YouTuber reviewing this incredible band. I was going to just scroll past, but I got curious, so I watched it, and it was a MAGNIFICENT SURPRISE to hear this metal band for the first time. I immediately looked up other songs and interviews, and I could see that the lead singer, who is also the guitarist, songwriter, and video producer, is an example of faith and perseverance in herself and her dreams, in addition to being incredibly talented. If you're interested, at the end of this post I'll share several links to interviews and reviews of CALVA LOUISE.
Ahora vamos con mis canciones / Now let's go with my songs
I'm starting this #ttt with the first song I heard from CALVA LOUISE, the wonderful “LO QUE VALE”. This song has a soft beginning, with Jess Allanic's beautiful voice singing the first lines of this song in Spanish (although the band also performs songs in English), but suddenly, and quite surprisingly, it explodes into pure metal. This song is a whirlwind of energy, with lyrics that, while simple, are both poetic and profound. Here I share the official video of this masterpiece, which was directed, starred in, and edited by Allanic.
My next song from CALVA LOUISE is the beautiful “CON CORAZÓN”, which is in Spanish. It's a song with a very interesting guitar and bass intro. The lyrics are truly excellent, I'd even say powerful, and they speak precisely about self-belief and making decisions from within, with heart.
