Hi my people, I really hope we are doing well. I have come to share with you how minimalism has affected my daily life. To be sincere a lot has changed about me, since I embraced minimalist lifestyle. Though most of them are positive changes. Minimalism has affected several areas, but I will like to talk about my daily eating habit.
Growing up with my grandma was so fun. You know how grandma pampers kids alot. In fact, she used to give us so much to eat. While I was with her, we would eat until our bumps shoot out. If it didn't shoot how, we wouldn't be satisfied. We would thereafter showed our potbelly to grandma for a pat on our back. So from a very young age, I believed protruding belly was an evidence that one was full. So, I held so tight to the belief as I grew. I must eat till my belly shoot out, despite the fact that I'm a lady.
Before, I embraced minimalist lifestyle, I used to eat about five- six times a day,. On daily basis, I used to visit restaurant for snacks and drink all kinds of drink such as soda, carbonated and others. The worst was when I cooked at home, I used to dish my food as if there was no tomorrow. I would mount my food as if it was for three people. I also used to be that person that go 3-4 rounds of food at a seat until my belly protruded.
I started knowing it was a problem when I would become inactive after eating. I would just be heavy and doze off, even in higher institution, where I had to study hard. My roommates started making jest of me that I eat too much. Truly, I looked at myself and realized I was not feeding right. I was not even fat with all I was eating, it was only big belly that I could show forth.
Then my friend introduced me to a minimalist lifestyle, it seemed so hard and unsustainable. I started my reducing my food intake: from mounting my plate of food, to having the barest minimal portion. I also replace my drink consumption to taking varieties of fruit.
Minimalist lifestyle has really helped me to reduce my restaurant visits. I have also been able to save a lot on daily basis. Thanks to my minimalist lifestyle. The changes are very glaring, my protruding belly is also going back to where it comes from. I don't eat late at night again, so no more heavines. Nothing disturbs me when I want to read or pray at night again. I now enjoy my daily routine more than before. All thanks to this simple and great lifestyle.
