🏡I show you my design for the living room and kitchen in my home🏡

🍁 Hello! Hello! 🍁

Dear community, I hope everything is going well in your lives.

I was unaware of my minimalist taste until I discovered my simple, practical, and functional style.

I grew up in a family and society where, when people got married, guests would give them gifts for their new home; couples would end up with four rice cookers and six sets of knives, as well as duplicate glasses and paintings.

The funny thing about all this is that 40 years later, all those decorations are still stored away, waiting for “a special occasion to use them.”

Therefore, I broke away from those patterns and in my home, I make everything functional and minimalist; as they say around here, “less is more.”

When it comes to the design of my home, I like it to be open and uncluttered. I don't like walking around at night tripping over things or decorations, so I only have this recently built counter, a couple of chairs that a friend gave me, and a table that I use for eating while I buy the chairs for the counter I mentioned. The important thing is that I use everything; I'm not waiting for a special occasion to use my chairs or the table for eating.

Similarly, my kitchen counter (also newly built) is only cluttered when I'm cooking. Otherwise, I don't have anything on it so that it looks spacious and clean. Honestly, I don't want, I don't like, I can't stand, for example, eight glasses when it's just my mother and me at home. If we have visitors, I have a supply of disposable glasses, which solves the problem of drinks 😉.

Sometimes people who visit my home are surprised because the walls are not covered with pictures or with knick-knacks that often arrive at home without us knowing where they came from and are placed in empty spaces so that the person knows we appreciate their gift. Twenty years later, even though the gift is faded, it still “decorates” our homes...

Therefore, I only put up this wall, known as a colorful “screen,” to protect it from oil splatters, which are very common in kitchens, and on the other hand, to make it stand out among the neutral colors I used for the counter.

I definitely like my open space because it's easier to clean and everything is within reach.

My next project is to make my counter doors to cover the lower area and have a more harmonious space, visually and mentally, because knowing that everything is covered will give me peace of mind knowing that I have my space just the way I wanted it 😍.

In conclusion, I have discovered that I am not into trends, only functionality, and I think I do very well in this regard. If I had to identify with a style, it would undoubtedly be minimalism, not only in my spaces but also in my life, since I try to apply it in all areas where the exaggerated, ostentatious, and vain do not fit with my essence or what I want for myself.

Thank you for the opportunity to participate in your community, and I hope to continue sharing more about my spaces and my lifestyle, following the guidelines of everyone here.

The photographs are my property.
I made the cover and banner in Canvas.
The translator I used was DeepL.

Until next time 💐.

You described it perfectly. Thank you for reading and commenting. Best regards 😊.

Your kitchen looks neat and wonderful. It's amazing.
To me don't have too many decorations in my living room. It's because I don't really like them. But I think my kids does not as well or else, they would have forced me to place one.

That's fine. Everyone can have their own space as they like, and when your children have their own spaces, they will decide how to arrange them. Thank you for visiting and for your comment.

You are welcome
