Water Piano Fountain [ENG-PT/BR] — WeAreAliveAndSocial

It is located about 500 meters from my house, in the Vale das Flores Linear Park, Coimbra (Portugal), where I pass by almost every day. During the day, it is a discreet fountain, but at nightfall it takes on a different presence. There are other water features scattered throughout this area, but this one in particular is an artistic/urban fountain with a water jet and decorative lighting, an attraction in the public space given its aesthetic purpose.

Pumps and hydraulic circuits allow the projection of water jets that are illuminated by a submerged or integrated LED system, providing colorful effects on the water mirror and the ground at night. The paving and floor structures are adapted to allow safe interaction with the fountains.

This water feature, integrated into the park's landscaping, was designed by architect Laura Roldão, who was also responsible for the integrated urban redevelopment that included the reorganization of green spaces and urban elements.

The Vale das Flores Linear Park was inaugurated in December 2001, a free-access urban leisure space that includes various facilities. Such as a playground, rest areas, a pedestrian circuit, a 1 km bike path, and sports areas (soccer field, basketball court, and skate park).

Fonte Piano de Água

Fica a cerca de 500 metros da minha casa, instalada no Parque Linear do Vale das Flores, Coimbra (Portugal), onde passo quase diariamente. Durante o dia, é uma fonte discreta, mas ao cair da noite adquire outra presença.

Existem outros pontos de água espalhados por esta zona, este especificamente é uma fonte artística/urbana com repuxo e iluminação decorativa, uma atração no espaço publico atendendo ao seu propósito estético.

Bombas e circuitos hidráulicos permitem a projeção de jatos de água que são iluminados por um sistema LED, submersa ou integrada, proporcionando efeitos coloridos no espelho de água e no chão durante a noite. A pavimentação e as estruturas de piso são adaptadas para permitirem interacção segura com os repuxos.

Este equipamento de água integrado no sistema paisagístico do parque foi desenhado pela arquiteta Laura Roldão, responsável também requalificação urbana integrada que incluiu a reorganização dos espaços verdes e elementos urbanos. O Parque Linear do Vale das Flores foi inaugurado em dezembro de 2001, um espaço de lazer urbano de acesso livre que inclui diversos equipamentos. Tais como, um parque infantil, zonas de descanso, um circuito pedonal, ciclovia de cerca de 1 km e áreas desportivas (campo de futebol, basquetebol e zona de skate).
