In these photos, I capture a moment of togetherness at a paddy field feast, a tradition still strongly maintained in rural areas. Men are seen busy preparing the main dish, goat curry, with the spirit of mutual cooperation. Smoke billows from a large wok, blending with the laughter and jokes of the villagers, who selflessly help one another.
The paddy field feast tradition is not just about eating together, but also a symbol of gratitude for the harvest and prayers for the next planting season. Everyone plays a role: some cook, some pack, and some distribute the food to guests. The strong aroma of spices, tender goat meat, and thick curry sauce create a perfect combination that whets the appetite and adds to the warmth of the atmosphere.
I love moments like this because, behind their simplicity, they hold noble values: mutual cooperation, togetherness, and gratitude to God. Through photography, I want to show that beauty doesn't always have to be found in luxurious places; sometimes it can be found amidst the wafts of kitchen smoke and the sincere smiles of those working together.
📸 I took this photo using my phone camera, then slightly edited it with Photoshop Express to highlight the warm colors of the kitchen and the aroma of curry that seems to be emanating from the screen.
