You couldn't have described it better, @joanstewart! Each wave comes with it's own expression, whether it's small, huge, driven by a current or wind...each is spectacular in it's own sense.

Very hard to select one, each visit is unique even when the sand is whipping up scouring your skin like sandpaper it's all in the fun of capture the moment.

I agree with you 100%. Which Is why I don't have a favourite beach in particular. As long as I can be at the ocean. The ones I visit most frequently, are just because they are either not t far, or they are normally not too crowded and we can find space where we can move around and enjoy the ocean in peace and quite (besides the noise from the ocean)

Used to be on the beach every day at one time, now have not been for awhile experience terrible withdrawal, time will come when able to walk and enjoy once again. When we go up to St Lucia always spend time at their beaches enjoying the region being more remote.

That makes sense to me! Rather take your time to work through this. As you say, healing will come with time and you will be able to walk and enjoy once again. I get what you say about going up to St. Lucia being more remote. We haven't been up that way in a long time. Maybe it's time to go up there again.

Many fond memories of beaches all along our coastline, sadly decay has taken it's toll, one shudders thinking the beauty that once was.

St Lucia hits all the right notes with beaches, sea and wildlife, a rare spot to visit.

We were thinking the exact same thing as we drove along the Marine Parade last week for the first in a long while. I wanted to take photos at Moses Mabhida during sunset, but was stopped as you apparently aren't allowed to take photos with a camera. You may take photos with you mobile phone though...🤦‍♂️. My phone was on charge in the car where my wife was waiting for me, so we left.

So, I thought of going to the Sun Coast Casino and get some photos there. But what a disappointment! With empty liquor bottles on the lawn in front of the casino going to the beach... I don't think that will make nice photos...

So we left again in disappointment, driving down the Marine Parade... in disgrace. We were also talking about what it was like many years ago and look what it's like now...

We seriously need to go up that way again...

When we go up we use La Rochelle very clean, friendly, convenient being close to all amenities. Take a break with up to six per cottage.

We started going almost annually since 2013 using timeshare exchange, this however is not a requirement anyone can book in to enjoy, (no longer own timeshare as it was not being utilized to the full.)

Small enough to be away from everything, close enough to enjoy nights out, although it is around the corner literally to town, for safety one tends to drive everywhere. Best place to have fish catch of the day is at the garage where there is a restaurant tucked away.

iSimangoliso Wetlands Park both East and West Shores a good day outing with packed picnic basket. Beaches all the way gives one plenty to enjoy, lovely walks in IgwalaGwala Trail at then of the village, estuary for outings to capture views from the water, or sunsets of Sunset Jetty.
