A beautiful unexpected butterfly [Eng/Esp]

I have mentioned on occasion that photographing a butterfly can be either very easy or very difficult; there is never a middle ground, as they can be constantly moving from flower to flower in a matter of seconds or they can stay on the same flower for up to a minute. Fortunately, in my case, it was the latter, which allowed me to take these photographs that I am sharing with you today. Incidentally, I took them in my backyard; I am lucky to come across several butterflies from time to time. I will leave you with the photographs.

He mencionado en alguna ocasión que hacer fotografías a una mariposa puede ser o muy fácil o muy difícil, nunca hay un punto medio, ya que pueden estar en constante movimiento de flor en flor en cuestión de un segundo o pueden quedarse incluso un minuto en una misma flor. Por suerte, mi caso fue el segundo, lo cual me permitió hacer estas fotografías que les comparto el día de hoy, las cuales hice, por cierto, en el patio de mi casa; tengo suerte de cruzarme con varias mariposas de vez en cuando. Lately, I've been spending more time in my backyard. I planted some plants at the beginning of the year, and I'm keeping a close eye on them to make sure everything is going well. Right next to where I planted them are the flowers you see in the photos, so I'm always on the lookout, but often by the time I go to get my camera, the butterfly has already flown away. Without a doubt, this was the first one that waited for me to get my camera and take a whole photo shoot.

Últimamente estoy saliendo más al patio de mi casa; he plantado algunas plantas a principio de año y estoy bastante pendiente de que todo vaya bien y, en ese proceso, justo al lado de donde las planté, se encuentran las flores que ven en las fotografías, por lo que siempre estoy al pendiente, pero muchas veces cuando voy por mi cámara, ya la mariposa se ha ido. Sin duda, esta fue la primera que esperó que yo fuese por la cámara y le hiciera una sesión de fotos completa.

To develop the photographs, I first had to balance the light, because although the sun was very strong, I used my camera's flash to help illuminate each area of the butterfly and focus better to capture more detail. Therefore, I had to balance the light afterwards, try to give the colors a little more intensity, and lift the shadows that were obviously formed by the use of the flash. It was quite a lot of work, but I think it was completely worth it.

Para el revelado de las fotografías, primero tuve que equilibrar la luz, ya que, si bien el sol era muy fuerte, utilicé el flash de mi cámara para ayudarme un poco a iluminar cada zona de la mariposa y hacer un mejor enfoque para conseguir más detalles; por ende, tuve que equilibrar la luz luego, intentar dar un poco más de intensidad a los colores y levantar las sombras que evidentemente se formaron por el uso del flash. Fue un trabajo un tanto fuerte, pero creo que valió completamente la pena.
