Dogs often come up to you, some looking for food and others looking for love, because, amid the loneliness of the street, they usually want someone to pet them, and on this occasion it was precisely the latter. This dog came up to where we were and stayed with us for quite a while; I took the opportunity to take these photographs, which I am sharing with you today; I hope you enjoy them.
Los perritos en muchas ocasiones llegan a donde uno se encuentra, algunos en busca de comida y otros en busca de amor, ya que, entre tanta soledad de la calle, suelen querer que alguien les haga cariño y en esta ocasión fue justamente lo segundo. Este perrito se acercó a donde nos encontrábamos y estuvo con nosotros un buen rato; yo aproveché para hacer estas fotografías que les comparto el día de hoy; espero que las disfruten.
My favorite photographs are the ones where he is sitting; I think dogs have a very peculiar way of sitting, especially when they are looking from one place to another, so those are the photos I tried hardest to take. Although the dog was sniffing the ground in search of food, we gave him some cookies we had with us at the time, which is why in some photos he looks like he is chewing something.
Mis fotografías favoritas son en las que se encuentra sentado; me parece que los perros tienen una forma muy peculiar de sentarse y más cuando están mirando de un lugar a otro, por eso esas fotografías son las que más intenté hacer. A pesar de que el perro estaba olfateando el suelo en busca de comida, nosotros le dimos unas galletas que teníamos en ese momento y de ahí que en algunas fotos parezca que está masticando algo.
When developing the photographs, I tried to maintain the original colors, but also to highlight the colors of the dog's coat a little so that it would stand out more in the photographs. However, I felt that its black coat was a little distracting, so I had to try to balance it out a little in the development process, and I think the final result was exactly what I wanted.
Para el revelado de las fotografías, intenté mantener los colores originales, pero también resaltando un poco los colores del pelaje del perro para que pueda destacar más en las fotografías, aunque su pelaje negro sentía que me incomodaba un poco, por lo que tuve que intentar equilibrar un poco en el revelado y creo que el resultado final fue exactamente lo que quería.
