Sunrise at East beach
Let me start with an update on the storm/Blizzard, it broke records for the heaviests snow we got at least 30 Inches and the drifts are crazy over 6 feet in places, city is struggling to plow the roads, infact there is a driving ban still on so they can clear the roads
Many lost power but we were lucky and still have power, and now they are talking about more on Wednesday, but looking at the weather maps I am thinking or hoping it wont be much and not the 5 inches some are predicting or perhaps thats just me trying to be mr positive lOL
East Beach is a popular, family-friendly municipal beach located on East Rodney French Blvd here in New Bedford, MA, a nice beach with its sandy shores, calm waters, and scenic views of Buzzards Bay and the Butler Flats Lighthouse. It features amenities like lifeguards, restrooms, showers, volleyball courts, and nearby paved bike paths, making it a perfect spot for sunbathing, swimming, and strolling.
I often go there after parking in Fort Taber Park, as during the warmer months you cannot park near the beach, they do have car parks across the road, but when I go there early morning, the gates are locked. It's a nice stroll out to the beach so not a problem for me and good for me getting a good step count in while I am out
this first shot shows the beach volleyball courts I mentioned, and in the distance you may notice Butler flats Light house
and you can see it is a nice wide sandy beach

Now some may find this shocking, but I have never been to the beach during the day in summer and relaxed onthe beach or swam there, for a couple of reasons, firstly in summer iyt gets quite crowded at times and i hate crowds, and secondly, I have had quite a bit of skin cancer removed over the years, infact another was just spotted in my yearly dermatolgy visit and have that scheduled to be removed next month, by quite a few I have lost count, but its well over 20.
and for that reason, I clearly have skin susceptible to skin cancer so I avoid being out in the sun, and the od times I do go for day times walks when the sun is out, I apply strong sunscreen quite liberally
