Hello, everyone! Today I will be continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me keep track of the songs I have used so I dont end up repeating them. Ain’t no mountain high enough: Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Ain't No Mountain High Enough from the artist Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell.
It was one of my favorite songs from the last music competition we did on Discord, one of those we put together without much fuss. The dynamics are pretty well known at this point: everyone puts their songs on Spotify, they're all mixed together, and we score each song to see who has the best musical taste, adding up to almost 100 songs. What we thought would only take a few hours ended up taking us all night... However, there was no shortage of laughter.
The truth is that this song came up at a pretty quiet moment in the competition, when we were already a little exhausted and less eager to fight over every song. At that moment, Ain't No Mountain High Enough started playing, a song that a friend had selected for her list and that I actually ended up liking quite a bit. I didn't hesitate to look for it to add it to my Spotify favorites, and I ended up realizing that I had a few songs by this artist.
It wasn't the first Marvin Gaye song I had heard; I had already been recommended some of his other well-known songs, such as Sexual Healing, all thanks to a friend with whom we used to share music. These music competitions have been my greatest source of musical discovery in recent times, as I believe there isn't much left for me to discover that suits my taste, considering that I already have more than 1,500 songs in my Favorites.
Marvin Gaye was an American singer who was active from the early 1960s. He was associated with the Motown label, as was Tammi Terrell, with whom he collaborated numerous times throughout his career. The two ended up forming one of the most iconic duos in their country.
They began to gain popularity in the late 1960s, when some of their early songs began to receive frequent airplay on local radio stations. One of the main songs that catapulted the duo to success was the one I have selected today: Ain't No Mountain High Enough. This song was released in 1967, topped the charts worldwide, and became a classic after being reused in movies and TV series.
