Golden: Huntr/X, EJAE, Audrey - My musical choice of the day and Rising Star Statistics

Hello, everyone! Today I will be continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.

Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me keep track of the songs I have used so I dont end up repeating them. The last song I talked about in my last post is: GZ and Hustlas from the legendary artist Snoop Dogg.

Golden: Huntr/X, EJAE, Audrey

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Golden from the new group Huntr/X, EJAE, Audrey.

As I've mentioned on several occasions, I have a friend who is quite a fan of K-Pop, so he always tries to pass on a lot of music of that genre to me. He never had much success, since out of the average of ten songs he passed on to me, I might end up keeping only one because I don't really like modern music that much. But anyway, there were a few artists that I did listen to and ended up adding to my Spotify favorites.

Recently, while looking at memes on Instagram, I kept seeing scenes from a movie that I thought was a flop, as the idea of K-Pop singers fighting demons seemed pretty strange to me, just from seeing the title.

The scene itself was a concert given by the K-Pop group where they presented one of their new songs: Golden. The truth is that the song is pretty good, and I understand why it ended up becoming super famous worldwide, although I do think it's a little overrated.

In the end, the song won me over and I added it to my Spotify playlist, joining the nearly ten other K-Pop songs I have saved. My problem isn't just with K-Pop, but I think that today's music lacks what it had a few years ago, such as good instrumentals and beautiful vocals... Something that has been lost with the excessive use of autotune, even in genres that I love, such as hip-hop.

HUNTR/X is a fictional group from the movie K-Pop Demon Hunters. The group's songs were performed by artists who were not well known in the K-Pop scene at the time. The artist Ejae performed the part of the song sung by the protagonist Rumi, accompanied by two other artists, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami.

The song Golden was released on July 4, 2025, and quickly became one of the most listened to songs of the year. The impact of the film led people to wonder who was behind the songs on the soundtrack. This caused Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami to go from being relatively unknown artists on the K-pop scene to gaining enormous worldwide exposure, starting to give their first concerts, and marking a turning point in their music careers.
