GZ and Hustlas: Snoop Dogg - My musical choice of the day and Rising Star Statistics

Hello, everyone! Today I will be continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.

Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me keep track of the songs I have used so I dont end up repeating them. The last song I talked about in my last post is: Brillante sobre el Mic from the argentine artist Fito Paez.

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is GZ and Hustlas from the legendary hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg.

I think I've mentioned this several times before, but my relationship with rap goes back to when I was younger and played GTA San Andreas Multiplayer in roleplay mode. In that mode, I spent hours doing jobs as a truck driver, and on those trips I would listen to the game's radio stations, which played all kinds of music genres from that era.

Some of the servers I played on had a boombox, a kind of music system, where you could play music if you brought it from an external link. I remember we used a platform called Offliberty, which provided you with a streaming link. One of my friends I played with started playing old-school hip-hop songs, and that's how I discovered great artists like Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube, among others. At that moment, I was hooked, but it wasn't like I became a huge fan right then and there.

It took me several years to become really interested in hip-hop again, and it was thanks to the movie Straight Outta Compton, which tells the story of one of the most legendary rap groups. I was really interested in the group's history, their rise to fame, and then their breakup due to disputes between the members. That made me want to keep looking for more old-school artists, and that's when I ended up discovering stars like Nas, 2Pac, Biggie, Rakim, Outkast, Wu Tang, and several others.

The other day I was reviewing some songs from the genre and ended up finding a song by the artist that I had never heard before: GZ and Hustlas: Snoop Dogg. The truth is that I liked it enough to add it to my Likes and bring it here.

Snoop Dogg is one of the most renowned artists in West Coast hip-hop, and one of the most important aspects of his history is that his career is closely linked to Dr. Dre. During those years, Dre released his first solo album in 1992, The Chronic, and on that album appeared an artist who was relatively unknown at the time: Snoop Dogg, which ended up being key to his rise to fame.

The first major solo album was Doggystyle, released in 1993, an album that ended up full of well-known songs of the genre and took him to a whole new level. That album includes tracks such as Gin and Juice and Who Am I, and finally my choice for today: GZ and Hustlas. Thanks to these hits, Snoop Dogg's career was catapulted to success, and he became one of the most iconic figures in hip-hop worldwide.
