I ran (so far away) - A Flock of Seagulls - My musical choice of the day and Rising Star Statistics

In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.

Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Asereje from the iconic band Las Ketchup.

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is I ran (so far away) from the band A Flock of Seagulls.

There is a video game series that has been very important to me and has become one of my favorites, as well as that of many others. I am talking about the legendary Grand Theft Auto series, which includes a wide variety of games that offer users a unique experience.

My first real generation of consoles was the PlayStation 2, which had most of the games in this series. The first one I had the opportunity to play was Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, simply because it was the newest and most famous at the time. I was quite hooked on doing the typical stupid things like running people over and causing chaos everywhere, considering that at my age (about six years old) I wasn't going to be able to complete the story.

It took several years before I played Grand Theft Auto again. This was because the definitive edition came out, the one that includes the trilogy of GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas. I set out to platinum all three games, so I had to complete Vice City 100%. It wasn't a process I enjoyed very much, but that's how it is.

One of the positive aspects of the game that I can mention is that, like other installments in the series, it has a soundtrack composed of radio stations playing some pretty good songs from the 80s. My favorites are “Self Control” by Laura Branigan, “I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight,” and the song I've selected for today: “I Ran (So Far Away)” by the band A Flock of Seagulls.

A Flock of Seagulls is an iconic rock and pop band formed in England in 1979. It consisted of vocalist Mike Score, drummer Ali Score, bassist Frank Maudsley, and guitarist Paul Reynolds. The debut album was released three years after the group was formed and was titled “A Flock of Seagulls.” This album was a huge success and was a hit not only in their country but around the world, thanks to great songs such as “I Ran (So Far Away),” “Space Age Love Song,” “Messages,” and “Telecommunication.”
