Baby, Please Don't Go: Franky Perez and Forest Rangers
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Baby, Please Dont Go from The Forest Rangers and Franky Perez.
In the previous post, we talked about a song that I have known thanks to the influence of video games. But this time, the song of the day today I have known thanks to a quite famous series and that became one of my all time favorites. I'm talking about Sons of Anarchy, a series that deals with the story of a motorcycle gang.
One of the highlights of the series is the musical selection that accompanies its most epic scenes. For example, during an intense chase, Home Invasion by The Chimpz plays, a hard rock song that intensifies the tension and boosts the adrenaline of the moment. Another great example is Gimme Shelter, which plays at the end of a season, providing a memorable closure and perfectly conveying the emotional charge of the scene.
Thanks to those moments I spent, I decided to explore the soundtrack of the series in a playlist I found of the series. That's how I found Baby, Please Dont Go.
Franky Perez is an American singer of Cuban roots dedicated mainly to blues and rock. Throughout his career, he released several albums and achieved moderate success, which allowed him to collaborate with The Forest Rangers for the soundtrack of Sons of Anarchy.
Baby, Please Don't Go is a classic blues song created by Big Joe Williams in 1935. Franky Perez & The Forest Rangers' version was recorded especially for the seventh season of the renowned series Sons of Anarchy.
