In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.
Starting in May, I started to create a playlist to keep track of the last songs I commented on in my posts. It will be useful for me not to doubt if I had already talked about a song before or not. The last song is Hood Took Me Under of the group Compton's Most Wanted.

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Por lo que yo te quiero of the legendary "cuarteto" artist Rodrigo Bueno.
More than eight years ago, I was at a get-together at a friend's house, still in my teens. That night I discovered for the first time the person responsible for many of the hits that were danced all over Argentina. That person was Rodrigo Bueno, one of the leading figures of the quartet along with La Mona Jiménez.
Although I am not a fan of Latin genres such as cumbia or cuarteto, from time to time I have my time where I like to enjoy a song or two. With Rodrigo it's quite different, the many songs he has are very good and I listen to him very often. What he did with the quartet no one else has done, since he turned a musical genre from a single province (Cordoba) into a national genre.
Although it has been about 20 years since Rodrigo's death, his music is still present in any party, whether it is for young people or adults. His songs have become classics that can't be missed when the night gets good, and it has become quite common to know how to dance to it (not my case).
Rodrigo “El Potro” Bueno is one of the most important artists in Argentine history. He was born in 1973 in Córdoba, one of the pioneer provinces of the quartet genre. Since he was a child he was surrounded by music: his father was a producer and owner of a record store, and his mother was a composer.
He began his career in 1987 with the album La foto de tu cuerpo, and quickly achieved recognition even in Buenos Aires, where the quartet was still a little known genre. Rodrigo managed to make the quartet transcend the borders of Córdoba and expand throughout the country, marking a before and after in Argentine popular music.
Por lo que yo te quiero was released in 2000 for the album Cuarteto Caracteristico. It is one of the most successful songs of the album along with Que Ironia, Amor Clasificado and Como Le Digo. It has 12 million plays on Spotify and 2 million (in an unofficial video) on Youtube.
