In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Una cerveza from the iconic argentine band Rafaga.
Rock and Roll All Nite: Kiss
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Rock and Roll All Nite from the legendary rock band Kiss.
On this occasion, I'm going to return to one of the most iconic bands in the history of international rock, which I've mentioned at least once before. This band was iconic not only for its songs, but also for its peculiar style of dress and makeup. I'm talking about none other than Kiss.
My first experience with the band was before I was a teenager, when I had just been bought my first video game console: the PlayStation 2. I remember spending hours playing games like Lego, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Pro Evolution Soccer, and others. One of the games I spent the most time playing was called Guitar Hero III.
Guitar Hero III was my introduction to international rock music, as I discovered many artists and songs that I had never heard of before. I became such a fan of the game that my mother, seeing how fascinated I was, decided to buy me a guitar that connected to the PlayStation and could be played with the game.
One of the most iconic songs in the game is the one I have chosen for today's post: Rock and Roll All Nite. I remember loving it and doing a little research on the band at the time, being surprised or puzzled by the clothes they wore at each concert.
Kiss is one of the most iconic rock bands in the world. It was formed in 1973 in the United States, consisting of Paul Stanley (The Starchild), Gene Simmons (The Demon), Ace Frehley (The Spaceman), and Peter Criss (The Catman).
Their first album, titled “Kiss,” was released in 1974 and enjoyed moderate success, achieving some record sales thanks to songs such as Strutter, Cold Gin, and Deuce. The same would happen with their next three albums, until they released one of the most iconic albums in rock history in 1975: Alive.
Alive was a worldwide success, including hits such as Detroit Rock City, Rock and Roll All Nite, I Was Made For Lovin' You, Love Gun, and Shout It Out Loud, selling over 100 million copies worldwide.
