Hello, everyone! Today I will be continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me keep track of the songs I have used so I dont end up repeating them. A few days ago, I chose another song related to one of the media that has most influenced the music I listen to today: video games. It's not the first time I've talked about this in a post, but the truth is that many of the songs I've discovered over the years came from there.
The game I want to talk about today is Kingdom Come Deliverance II. It's a sequel that I've been waiting for quite a long time, easily three or four years. Ever since I finished the first game, I knew I was going to play the second part as soon as it came out. So when the new installment finally came out, I couldn't handle the hype and ended up buying it the same day.
The truth is that the series ended up becoming one of my all-time favorites. It's a very different kind of game from other RPGs, as it tries to recreate the medieval era in a much more realistic way. And one of the aspects of the game that I can highlight the most is its soundtrack.
Many of the songs use instruments that sound quite medieval, while others sound like music sung in a church. This type of composition gives the video game a very appropriate atmosphere. The song I've chosen for today's post is Saint Barbara Theme, which is a song about a saint.
Jan Valta is a Czech composer best known for his work on the soundtrack for the Kingdom Come Deliverance saga. He was responsible for composing much of the music for the first game, which is why director Daniel Vavra decided to hire him again for the new installment, Kingdom Come Deliverance II.
The soundtrack for this game was composed of instruments inspired by medieval music, choirs, and ecclesiastical music. It is not the only work that tends to use this type of music; we can mention other games such as Skyrim and The Witcher 3, which also have excellent musical scores.
