Salir de la Melancolia: Seru Giran - My musical choice of the day and Rising Star Statistics

Hello, everyone! Today I will be continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.

Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me keep track of the songs I have used so I dont end up repeating them. The last song I talked about in my last post is: Bailan Rochas y Chetas from the argentine artist Nene Malo.

Salir de la Melancolia: Seru Giran

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Salir de la Melancolia from the legendary argentine band Seru Giran.

I found the song I've chosen for today's post a few days ago, when I was looking for songs to share. I started going through my playlists, some complete albums, and also using the recommendations that appear on Spotify. In the midst of all that, one I already knew appeared: Salir de la Melancolia.

It turns out to be one of the few songs I haven't shared yet from one of my favorite Argentine rock bands: Seru Giran. And that's even though I've talked about them several times and how important they were in my history with music, mainly because their star member is none other than the legendary Charly Garcia.

As I always say, my relationship with Argentine rock goes back to when I was very young, thanks to my mother's influence. At home, we always listened to songs by Charly Garcia, Soda Stereo, Sui Generis, and other classic bands. At the time, I didn't understand much; I just listened to what was playing on the speakers while I played with my toys or on the computer.

During my teenage years, with the arrival of Spotify, I began to delve much deeper into the genre. I listened to bands like Attaque 77, Los Piojos, Intoxicados, and Ciro y Los Persas. It took a few years for me to rediscover Charly Garcia and become a complete fan of both his solo career and his time with Sui Generis and Seru Giran.

Seru Giran was one of the most important bands in Argentine rock. It was formed by vocalist and pianist Charly Garcia, guitarist David Lebón, bassist Pedro Aznar, and drummer Oscar Moro. After some criticism of their first album, the group managed to establish itself with albums such as La Grasa de las Capitales in 1979, which included songs such as Seminare and Viernes 3 AM.

Salir de la Melancolia was released in 1980 as part of the album Bicicleta. This album also included other important songs by the group and marked one of the last stages before their breakup, as shortly thereafter each member would pursue their own separate careers.

The group was one of the most important of its time, but in a way I celebrate their breakup, because thanks to this I have been able to enjoy one of the best stages of Argentine rock, Charly's solo career.
