Best in Minding my business

One habit and lifestyle I like so much about myself is minding my business. I really love this trait in me and I would even lobby to have this trait in my second and third life. I know a lot of people in my area have tagged me as someone who is full of himself and does not associate with people, but that is not true. I associate very well with people, but you can never see me leaving my space and going to someone’s shop just to judge or discuss things that will not add anything to my bank account.

Currently, in my living area, there have been battles over who has more say in the space(compound) and also who appears more righteous in the sight of people. Yes, it is really like that. They are fighting for space and also fighting to appear righteous and correct in the sight of others. And guess what? I am on neutral ground and I have automatically turned into the 'people' they want to appear righteous and correct to. In a nutshell, they have made me the chief judge of the situation, meanwhile I have never been interested in their battles.

All of them, the three office spaces, come to my place one after the other to unwind while pouring out all the things the other person is doing to them that they consider evil. Meanwhile, I dare not side with anyone. I only say "okay" to whatever they are saying.

"Oga, I have come to judge my own case because this is the judgment arena," one of them said. She is an elderly woman who is even older than my grandma, and she said this as she walked into my workplace and met a woman who is my next-door neighbour there.

Do you know the irritating thing? I do not like what they are doing, and yet I cannot tell them to stop coming to my place to pour out their complaints as if I am the chief judge. All of them who are quarrelling and keeping malice are family people, and I am far younger than they are, yet they chose me to judge their issues.

Thanks for reading.
