Yesterday night was one that I don't wish to experience again. Mosquitoes disturbed me so badly that I struggled to sleep.
Just because of the heavy downpour that happened yesterday, there was waterlogging in the compound, and maybe the mosquitoes took advantage of the water to stay around. I thought mosquitoes only stayed in such an environment when waterlogging had lasted for a long while. That was what I thought, but I was proven otherwise last night.
When night came, I followed my normal way of sleeping—lying down with just my shorts—and even though the weather was cold, my solar fan was running.

Then, around midnight, I found myself itching and scratching my legs. When it became severe, I woke up to see mosquitoes flying everywhere. There was nothing I could do, as I did not have insecticides at home to spray. So, I chased them off with my shirt, then set the standing fan and pinned it to where my body was to blow the mosquitoes away. It worked, but along the line, the fan stopped blowing, and that was when the power charge ran down completely.
I knew I was in for a mess because that was the only way to chase off mosquitoes from my body without using my hands to fan them away. I stayed almost all night awake, sleepless. It was hell yesterday!
Thanks!
