Do you consider yourself fit/ healthy? Weekly contest

Good day my friends from this community. It feels good to be here with you. I hope you are doing great because i am.

I am glad to participate in this week's contest. I will define being healthy as a way of being free from mental, emotional and physical diseases. Keeping fit and healthy is a lifestyle that involves the combination of balanced diet, adequate sleep, regular physical exercise or activities and stress management routine.

Balanced diet: Balanced diet is a meal that contains all the six classes of food which are protein, carbohydrates, minerals, fat and oils, vitamins and water in their correct proportions. When preparing a meal, ensure that the meal contains all these six classes of food. One always try to eat a balanced diet.

Adequate sleep: As an adult, one is supposed to sleep for about 7-9 hours every night for optimal health and well being. One should always try to sleep this period of hours at night. Though sometimes due to work related stress and task ahead of the following day, one might not be able to achieve this aim daily. But less period of sleep should come rarely to help keep fit.

Regular exercise or activity: I will define exercise as a voluntary movement of the body in an organized manner to keep the body fit and healthy. There are different forms of exercise one could do daily. It can be indoor or outdoor or even both. Walking out, bending twisting, joga and many others. These exercises helps to keep a person fit.

Stress management routine: I will define stress management routine as those deliberate activities we carry out daily or weekly to help reduce stress. It might be drinking enough quantity of water daily, taking a nap during the active hours of the day, watching different television programme, hanging out with family and friends, playing both indoor and outdoor games and many more. These routine helps to relax the nerves and muscles and that helps to keep a person fit and healthy.

Conclusion: Do i consider myself fit and healthy? Yes, because considering all the above mentioned factors, i would say i have a lifestyle that involves the combination of what it takes to be fit and healthy.
I believe that everyone needs to be fit and healthy to avoid diseases and live well.
