Warm greetings to everyone gathered here under @indiaunited, a space where ordinary voices are allowed to speak their truth with dignity and courage.

Income management, for me, is not a neat spreadsheet or a motivational quote; it is a daily emotional exercise shaped by scarcity, hope, and survival. I earn far below the minimum wage, and in Nigeria’s current economic climate, that reality makes planning feel like trying to hold water with open hands.
Many times, the money is already mentally spent before it arrives. Prices rise faster than paydays, and urgent needs refuse to wait. When my income finally comes, it disappears quietly into the most basic necessities: food to stay functional, water to stay healthy, toiletries to remain presentable enough for work. After settling these, I often face the next week with an empty wallet and a heavy mind, calculating how to stretch days with nothing left to stretch.
Transport fare to work is sometimes a miracle on its own. On such days, I rely on faith, kindness, or sheer determination to show up. This is why managing my income currently feels less like strategy and more like endurance. There is no room for luxury, no space for savings, and barely enough for balance. It is humbling to admit that my earnings are not even close to being sufficient, not for growth, and certainly not for comfort.
Still, within this struggle lives a quiet determination. I am naturally business inclined, full of ideas and plans, yet limited by the absence of capital and opportunity. I have no savings to fall back on, but I carry vision, and that counts for something. Looking ahead to the coming year, I am resolved to seek better-paying opportunities, even if it means leaving my current job and starting again.

I hope to build multiple sources of income, aim higher, and break free from mere survival. With a better salary, even one close to minimum wage, I believe I can finally practice true income management, where saving, no matter how small, becomes possible, intentional, and empowering. Sharing this truth is my way of staying honest, hopeful, and human, despite limitations today together
Namaste 🙏
