It has never happened to me before because I don't really use the app, but a friend once told me that he made a post on one of these social media apps, and before he knew it, the post was automatically deleted because of violating the rules of that platform. No prior warning, just like that. This felt strange to me because I wouldn't want that to happen to me too, just like recording a song and the recording key not being played. And at that point, I got to know that all these platforms have a lot of control over us, more than we can imagine, even though we have access to them.
Fast forward to a few weeks after my guy shared that experience with me. I got to know about Steemit back then, and thank God for Hive now—nothing like unnecessary ads or algorithms controlling the reach of my post. Just me and my account letting out my mind to the real community that values the work of people more than identity.

Looking at all these centralized platforms, we do not get anything in return because our data is being used; we give them our time, and basically, I think we are their products. But coming to Hive Blockchain, it is controlled by everyone, and that is how transparent it is, because here on Hive, we make different posts based on the prompts we have, we get votes, and curation happens, and every engagement we make contributes meaningfully to the platform, which serves as a genuine value. Our voice is being heard here, and we also get the monetary values.
Over my few times, or let me say months, on Hive, I have seen Hivers make meaning of this blockchain by creating different communities that support each other's dreams, artists creating meaningful content, singers showcasing their lovely voices, and developers creating dapps. No lords or godfathers deciding our reputations, no banning except for rule breakers. Just an open for everyone.
And when we talk about what Hive has in store for us for the years to come, I can say that it will continue to be transparent and decentralized, which will continue to be governed by those giving it light and purpose.

Yes, look at one of the tweets I saw on X by Iamdan a few days ago. It shows that Hive is worldwide with lots of users, but what it has that's better than the rest is freedom to post, transparency, trust, and the human passion that we humans have.
Here is the link to participate in this week's IndianUnited prompt.
Thank you for reading.
