What keeps me on hive?
This is a question that sometimes ago had just two or three direct answers but for now, the answers are shaky and broad as well. How? Read on.
Many times, I do make a post on my WhatsApp status and friends who were once active on this platform would reply to the status with, "Are you still writing on hive? What's keeping you?". Honestly, the question sometimes gets me annoyed because these people who left some years ago have their reasons and I wouldn't want to start countering their reasons as my response to why I'm still here.
The reasons I'm still here are a bit funny because they are very laughable as far as I'm concerned.
I'm still here because of the earnings.
"Earnings? Are you really earning? You call less than $1 earning on a post earning?"
Yeah, I ask myself these questions and I laugh along too.
The thing is, I'm a firm believer or little drops of water make an ocean. The earnings are very low, no doubt especially with the current Dip of Hive, but these earnings are still something when accumulated.
Years ago, I was earning minimum of 10HBD per week and when I sat down to calculate everything, with equivalency to what volume of Hive I was earning back then, I found out that I'm still on the same range, the only difference is that the price of Hive has gone so down and making the price of HBD payout on posts drop. If you didn't understand this, it means you weren't taking note of your earnings back then with regards to equating HBD and HIVE earnings.
I feel encouraged to keep earning the little cents and if I could keep them in the future, they're going to blow up to something big.
Another reason why I am still here is because writing has become a part of my life and it's rare to stay a day without writing.
I find writing very easy and interesting especially when I'm writing about experiences mixed with humour, even though no one gets to read them, I just feel like I'm pouring out my mind to the universe.
Most of my posts don't earn a reasonable amount at all and I don't just mind, I keep writing 😎.
