How do you manage your income?
A day to day routine, starting from sunrise to sunset requires a planning. This same applies to managing our income may be on a day basis, a week basis or a montg basis.
Very often a systematic approach may result in a smooth flow of income as well as expense. But sometimes, an unexpected event may arise causing a slight drift from the regular path.
Mangaing our income is a daily challenge unless shifted from the daily routine. If you are the sole bread winner of the family and depending on just this income on a mknthly basis, too many things are to be taken into consideration.
Usually, few things can never be avoided. In such cases its better to allocate few funds in advance. Things such as educational fees, medical, electricity bills, water bills, petrol for scooter, newpaper, milk, regular groceries (though not all, few can be avoided if necessary) and monthly rent of the apartment if its not our own home. Apart from this, a few amount is kept aside as savings, incase of emergency.
On a monthly basis, I usually allocate funds in advance, for the above mentioned. But sometimes its becomes impossible. In such cases, I manage some ups and downs in the income I have to go in par with the expense.
While some people strive on a regular monthly income, some run their own business, where the income is unpredictable. But compared to a middle man, their expenses and expectations are also quite high.
Until now, Iam able to manage my expenses without much debts. I had to, otherwise I will end in sleepless nights. I also appreciate our Indian culture, where most of them save a portion of their income for future use.
I have always felt managing income becomes easy, when you look at the living style of people, one step below you, rather than envying peoples, a step above you.
Life becomes more beautiful then with no regrets, which ultimately helps in managing our income within our reach. To be honest, years ago for sometime I was one among the latter part of the story.
