Hello to my fellow community members,
Friends, today I want to talk about our grandparents. If you are someone who is living with your grandparents, or even if you are blessed enough to still have them alive in your life, then make sure to use this opportunity and earn their blessings as much as possible.
I know many people might not fully believe in these things about collecting blessings from elders, especially grandparents, but still, I am writing this blog because I feel it is important. We can always serve them without expecting anything in return.
It is not necessary to expect a return every time, and today I want to share why it is important to serve them and how it can make a difference in our lives.
Friends, if you do not believe in blessings from grandparents, then think about your childhood. Many of us come from the generation where our grandparents played a big role in taking care of us.
Even today, if you belong to a joint family, grandparents are an important part of your life. Especially in India, joint families are still common, and we respect our grandparents a lot.
Honestly, we cannot imagine living without them. Even a single day without them feels very difficult for us.
Right now, my grandma is not well and she is on bed rest. I see her behaving like a child sometimes, and while many of my relatives and family members do not feel right about that, I personally think it is totally normal.
At this age, it is natural to act like a child again. Even psychology tells us that as humans reach seventy or eighty, they often return to a childlike state. I feel this should be accepted with love and patience, not criticism.
Friends, when you were small, they served you without expecting anything in return. So now it is your turn. As you have grown up, it is your responsibility to serve them back without expecting anything in return.
Though honestly, I think they give us a lot of things, be it financial help, emotional support, or guidance, they are the source of all of them. So even saying that we do not get anything in return for serving them is not fully true.
If your grandparents are alive, go talk to them, see what they want to share, and listen to them, because they did the same when you were just one year old.
Think about that time and maybe it will become easy for you to serve them back. I am a person who believes a lot in blessings, and that is why I try to make the most out of it. I serve my grandma whenever possible, and I hope she stays healthy.
