Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 🤗
Amonka village is a beautiful but small community that is nestled in the southern part of Africa. Its people are loving, peaceful, and accommodating. Though a small community, the village is always bustling with different activities. They are happy people and content with their way of life.
On this particular day everyone went about their daily routines as usual; no one sensed there was a danger lurking beneath the surface. Meanwhile, all the animals in the village had been acting strangely for days. It started with the birds, who flew away in their numbers; then their cattle fled to the mountains and hills around the community; even the usually docile goats disappeared into the mountains too.
All the animals had heard the whispers before the flood: they heard how the earth was rumbling, they sensed the changes in the wind, and even noticed how there were subtle shifts in the way the water was flowing. They could sense that the rivers and seas around them would soon overflow, and this would bring destruction and chaos to the community.
They wanted to tell the humans that there were dangers lurking in but couldn't since both humans and animals speak different languages.
Unfortunately for the humans, they were too distracted to notice. Even the few amongst them that noticed there was something strange about all the animals leaving the community were too careless to give it a thought. Every one of them was busy going about their business; their farmers were busy cultivating their farm lands, while some were merrymaking and jubilating. They didn't hear the whispers; neither did they sense the danger that was coming.
Before the people knew what was happening, a devastating flood had swept through the village. The force of the flood was too much, such that a lot of homes were destroyed, crops were washed away, and lives were lost. They didn't know what to do or how to respond to it because they were caught off guard.
When the water had receded, those that survived were left to pick up the pieces of their lives and what was remaining of their properties. They were so heartbroken and sad; they wondered why they didn't notice or sense anything. Some of them remembered seeing the animals fleeing, but they hadn't paid attention.
