I have invested 40 hours a month on average here on Hive past few years, when I add up the time it’s quite wild how lent days I invested. I will always love Hive if even for sentiment reasons. All that said, we are not heading in a good direction, on price most of u know I called for .10 cents or lower before 2026, as far back as summer 2024 I said this. I took HP off table twice, once on 2021 at $3.00 & above .40 cents during that artificial pump a year ago. So I’m way beyond house money and got my original investment out times 10. But all the time invested? Well not so much. At least not if I start after selling huge amount in 2021 above $2.00 average. I don’t like what I’m seeing and after posting daily in 2025 & 2024, I can no longer invest the time I have been. It’s just clear a huge portion of the community is living in fantasy land making ridiculous claims like HBD will be the main stable coin in a couple years time, it’s beyond laughable. I see my friends posting only to get a large Leo vote they pay for via a monthly subscription, it’s just not good and I’m bearish on our beloved platform. I had to be honest and give my take. I won’t be doing vlogs like this often but I need to speak publicly and make my feelings known. Much love to you all!

Thanks for sharing you honest thoughs & fears - which I can understand as well as your frustration. To see HIVE go from 10 Cents to $3 and back to 10 Cents is a hell of a Ride. Glas you made a little fortune with it. That was also great to hear.

Hope you find some minutes from time to time to do a market vlog since I value your opinion. And also listen to some of the songs you are posting though I am not the most active comment-guy.

And last but not least, we have both achieved something great last year! We both did the Yearly Author Badge as you states you did. I got mine too. We will see how things go, I will Keep posting this year as long as I like it.

All the best for you going into 2026, Gene and don’t get too frustrated.

I did ran my query on sunday about the Hive stats in 2025. And while some stats were better than I did expect, we are getting a really close community.
We only have around 4K users wo do post on a regular basis. Let's say one a week, so 50 times a year.

Completely understandable, Hive certainly isn't what it used to be. It's great you took profits when you did, but posting regularly with Hive below a dime isn't a great time investment. The ROI just isn't worth it like it used to be!

I feel you, my friend. Although you've been here longer than I have, I've basically devoted the last 4+ years to building and growing on Hive. So to see where Hive has gone over the past few years hurts my heart, because I truly do love this blockchain, and the many incredible people who make it up. I'm a tenacious bugger, and I can't give up on Hive, or on the We Are Alive Tribe, so if the ship sinks, I'm going down with it. I'll just keep building and growing on my own account, and for the We Are Alive Tribe, while also continuing to branch out into other blockchain ecosystems. I think that Hive can still be turned around for the better. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

It was the trend happening. I have noticed quite a few people leave, and the comments have dropped off quite a bit. Hive just hasn't been the same, and I don't see anything really changing. It's interesting to see how Hive Engine can leave, but I don't think it would work out well for them if they did. I think Hive Engine is running on quite a bit of trust.

Good for you @geneeverett you stuck to your guns and opinions.
Engagement should be the measure Hive's success. The comment section is where we can discuss those different opinions, share ideas, cite our evidence, make suggestions, etc.

Thanks for alerting me about you Protest power down.

I don't watch Hive charts 24/7 but you know it like your own backyard. Come to think of it, I was threatened with Down Voting if I didn't dump Markymark from my Witness list some years back, yes weaponized Hive/Steem. I wish the Devs do more than cheer lead HBD as Hive's savior. It's an attractive feature of the ecosystem but has it's blind spot. I will dread seeing Hive's slow motion ship wreck.

At least I did well taking some profits out of my Cryptos portfolio outside of Hive.

I agree with you there is childish behaviour going on in Hive it is like a playground somtimes.
We don't care what your religious or politic views.
We try and support all members fairly and don't take subscriptions it is about activity and content.
