Everytime I hear people talking about the future of hive, I ask myself why I came to hive. The answer is that my thoughts will be preserved on a distributed blockchain that can survive me. The economic thrive to keep Hive alive might not need of a huge revolutionary success to achieve that goal. As long as there are non destructive witnesses deleting or actively powering down. I think my content will be preserved.

I understand your point but even if there are parasites and not so low bleeding of capital from the Hive ecosystem. I keep thinking that the community and witnesses are still willing to participate and throw hardware into the chain so my goals are still a priority. I would need to talk to the Hive high council and whales how far are them from shutting their servers down, but I think for now, we are safe.
