My dad is my step-dad!
He married my Mom when I was 18 months old!
He was only 19 years old. They both were! My opinion; they were way too young but hey, who am I to judge!
He loved me from day one and never tried to shun me away even when he and Mom had two more children!
Everyone knows that I am the pet {favorite} lol
Even his family, are so kind and loving.
They never ever considered me a step Granddaughter. I am their first Granddaughter!
I always called my Grandfather, Pappy! He was a kind and gentle soul.
I was 18 months old and I still wasn't walking {I was born a preemie, 2lbs, 15ozs.
A tiny baby that wasn't supposed to live!
I fooled them.
Back to Pappy, he would spend hours in his hallway, standing me up against the wall and moving away from me, holding out his hands, encouraging me to come to him. One day I did and I haven't stopped!
I will cherish my memories forever. Also, I am taking a trip to Scotland next year to visit where he was born!
Back to Dad. Sorry but I get distracted fast! If I could type as fast as I can talk, oh boy. I would write a book every night!
My Dad, Charlie lives in Long Term Care in a city that is 20 minutes from us. He was in another town that was one and a half hours away. It was too far, so I moved him closer to me. I am his power of attorney! He is only 73 but has declined in his health.
Dad stepped up when my Father didn't. That is called a real man.
@bradleyarrow and I went to visit him tonight.
He requested a sub and a few big turk bars.
Of course he was sitting up in bed waiting for us.
He wanted his sub, ASAP!
I don't allow him to eat in bed, this gives him some time sitting in his wheelchair.
He kept saying that he wants his sub and he isn't getting out of bed.
No getting out of bed, no sub. He just laughs at me. I put the sub on the table and told him to come and get it.
It was about 10 minutes or more, he gave in.
I helped him to get in his wheelchair, and put him at the table. He ate his sub, all smiles.

I always try to do what I think is best for him, he may not agree but he doesn't argue. I am Daddies girl!
Time to go!
God bless!
Life is good!
