🎸Three Tune Tuesday for Tuesday March 17th! The 2000’s Second Wave Of “The” Bands! The Kill! The Black Keys! The The Raconteurs! 🎶
In 2001 we got a wave of throw back bands like The Strokes, The White Stripes , The Hive’s & The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s among others. Really there wasn’t a break but in terms of mainstream attention a second wave popped up around 2010 or so. Since I’ve covered the early 2000’s “The” bands b4 for TTT, I thought I’d try and capture a few of the later bands that had same kinda vibe! I’ll start with The Raconteurs which features Jack White as frontman who was also same in the White Stripes. Second it’s The Black Keys who had been around for a few lesser known records but broke big in 2009, I pick a tune from there later 2014 album. Lastly I go with The Kills, a band who fits right in with multiple era’s but remained lesser known than the rest. All tune info will be below with each selection!
