This war will end someday. And when I look back on these long years, I will remember not only the bad, but also the good. One could say that we were born in difficult times and that we were unlucky with our neighboring country. One could mourn the past or grieve over unfulfilled plans. But life can only be lived once.

In life, there are many shades of gray between black and white. After the latest massive shelling of Kyiv, more than 6,000 high-rise buildings were left without heat. Do you know what the temperature is in Kyiv these days? -10 during the day and -15 at night -15. The Russians are doing this on purpose.
But when you see this fairy-tale beauty outside your window in the morning, you smile and forget about the war for a while. This can be learned. I learned it because otherwise my life would have lost its meaning long ago. And that would mean that our enemy had won.

I haven't seen my hubby for more than 3 months now.
But I know this will end, his time there, and he will come home.
Sometimes I dream about him. Once I had a dream that he came back, and I showed him what had changed since he left. Here is the window pane that survived the drone crash, which our neighbor helped us put back in. Here are the new plates I bought for Christmas. And some new Christmas tree decorations. And something else for him personally. Oh, and his favorite treats.
It's so strange.
My husband has never been romantic. He never liked talking about his feelings. I learned to read between the lines a long time ago. This separation is the longest we've ever had, so he's learned to say “I miss you” and “I love you.” We don't get to talk very often, but we have voice messages that we can listen to over and over again.
Well, I am happy to share these little things with you. It's time to say goodbye; they will turn off the lights soon, and I still have something to do. Wish me good luck!
Take care of yourselves and cherish your loved ones who are close to you.
