Up that close

in #nature7 days ago

You can't judge or get any idea of an insect if you don't get close to it to look at it up close. IMG_20210723_135643.jpg And doing this, as with a magic wand, you will find yourself in another world. IMG_20210723_134946.jpg In a fairy-tale world, in Alice's world, where everything is magical and takes on other dimensions - the world of insects. IMG_20210723_135114.jpg Looking closely at these perfect beings, how can you not like them? IMG_20210723_135321.jpg Ok, I also still don't like some insects. But let's look at it from this angle - they, like us humans, were created and released just like that, unprepared, or a little better prepared than us to deal with this cruel world. IMG_20210723_135401.jpg If we look at it from this angle, every living being is our companion, brother-in-arms, brother-in-destiny. IMG_20210723_135450.jpg So, look at this magical animal living in its magical world. Do you think it lives easily? IMG_20210723_135030.jpg But let's go back to the specific insect in the photos - I can't say the exact name of this insect, but it's clear that it's from the firebug family. IMG_20210723_135526.jpg And as I told you once, in my native language, one of the names of the firebug is used as a synonym for a good and harmless person, for a good man. That's why I can't help but like them and I can't help but take the time to photograph them IMG_20210723_135608.jpg (or at least try to do so) when I see them. IMG_20210723_135737.jpg

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you.
