Empecé a ver Beauty in Black pensando que sería otra serie más de drama y lujo, pero terminé enganchándome muchísimo a la historia. La serie mezcla perfectamente el mundo de la riqueza, la belleza y el poder con la parte más oscura y triste de la vida de muchas personas.
Lo que más me llamó la atención fue el personaje de Kimmie, porque desde el principio se nota que es una muchacha que ha sufrido demasiado y que solo intenta sobrevivir como puede. Mientras veía la serie, muchas veces sentí impotencia por todas las cosas malas que le pasan, pero también admiré su fuerza para seguir adelante aunque la vida no le haya dado nada fácil.
También me impactó mucho cómo la serie muestra a las familias ricas que aparentan tener una vida perfecta, llena de dinero, empresas y lujos, pero por dentro están llenos de secretos, manipulación y problemas. Me hizo pensar en cómo muchas veces las apariencias engañan completamente.
La serie tiene muchísimo drama, traiciones, romances complicados y momentos que de verdad te dejan sorprendido. Hubo capítulos donde terminé diciendo “no puede ser” porque siempre aparece un secreto nuevo o algo inesperado sucede.
Otra cosa que me gustó mucho fue la estética de la serie: los vestidos, las mansiones, las fiestas y todo ese ambiente elegante mezclado con escenas más duras y oscuras. Ese contraste hace que la historia se sienta todavía más intensa.
En general, sentí que Beauty in Black no habla solo de belleza o dinero, sino también de supervivencia, dolor y de cómo algunas personas luchan por encontrar un lugar mejor en medio de un mundo bastante cruel.

I started watching Beauty in Black thinking it would be just another drama full of luxury and rich people problems, but I ended up getting completely hooked on the story. The series perfectly mixes beauty, power, money, and the darker side of people’s lives.
What caught my attention the most was Kimmie’s character, because from the very beginning you can tell she has suffered a lot and is simply trying to survive the best way she can. While watching the series, I felt frustrated many times because of everything she goes through, but I also admired how strong she was despite how unfair life had been to her.
I was also really shocked by the way the show portrays wealthy families. From the outside they seem perfect, successful, elegant, and powerful, but behind all the luxury there are secrets, manipulation, lies, and so many hidden problems. It made me think about how appearances can fool people completely.
The series is full of intense drama, betrayals, complicated relationships, and moments that genuinely leave you surprised. There were episodes where I literally said, “there’s no way,” because every time you think things cannot get crazier, another secret comes out.
Another thing I really loved was the visual style of the show: the dresses, the mansions, the parties, and that glamorous atmosphere mixed with darker and more emotional scenes. That contrast makes the story feel even more powerful.
Overall, I felt like Beauty in Black is not only about beauty or money, but also about survival, pain, and the struggle to find a better life in a world that can sometimes be very cruel.
