Warm greetings, dear friends of Hive and Buskeria! It's wonderful to wake up today and share a new story with you all. I didn't post anything yesterday because I was a bit under the weather with the flu, but I'm feeling better now. It was also the end of the year, so I took a short break from Hive. But I'm back with more energy than ever. Today's story is about Kayla, who aspires to be a pianist. But getting there won't be easy. You'll see everything that happens to her. So, with that said, let's begin. Let's get started.

Saludos cordiales estimados y queridos amigos de Hive y de Buskeria! Que bueno poder amanecer un día para poder compartir con todos ustedes una nueva historia. Por cierto en el día de ayer no les traje ninguna porque estaba un poco enfermo de la gripe, pero ya estoy mejor. También era fin de año y me tomé un breve descanso de hive. Pero ya estoy de regreso con más energía que antes. Bien, esta historia de hoy es sobre Kayla, ella será una futura pianista. Pero para poder llegar ahí no será fácil. Ya verán todo lo que le ocurre. Entonces con esta info dicha podemos comenzar. Arrancamos.

"You're a burden"—those are words Kayla will never forget. She's heard them countless times, their sole purpose being to discourage her and be mean to her. She's had to persevere to overcome them and not give up. She tells us herself what she went through. She was just a piano student, not having played for very long. She knew the basics to get by, but couldn't play very complex songs. She still lacked practice time and experience to continue climbing the ranks in the music industry. Like everyone else in the country, she too wanted to pursue her musical dreams so that one day she could become a star.

Her first encounter with music was the hardest and most unpleasant experience a musician can have. Her cousin Lucas had some friends from school who had recently formed a band. The pianist had fallen ill and couldn't play at a performance they had in town—the same town where she lived. Her cousin, with the sole intention of helping her, told his friends about the band and recommended Kayla as a substitute while the pianist recovered. They thought the idea was great and invited her to join temporarily.

Era solo una aprendiz de piano, no llevaba mucho tiempo tocando. Sabía lo básico para defenderse pero no podía tocar canciones muy complejas. Aún le faltaba tiempo de practica y experiencia para continuar subiendo en Buskeria. Como todos en el país ella también quería seguir sus sueños musicales para poder algún día ser una estrella.

Su primer encuentro con la música fue el más duro y desagradable que un músico puede experimentar. Su primo Lucas tenía a unos amigos de la escuela que habían formado recientemente una banda. El pianista se había enfermado y no podía tocar en una presentación que tenían en el pueblo, en el mismo pueblo en donde ella misma vivía. Su primo con la única intención de ayudarla les habló a sus amigos de la banda y les recomendó a Kayla como sustituta mientras el pianista se recuperaba. A ellos les pareció grandiosa la idea y la invitaron a unirse provisionalmente.

When they met, she showed them what she could do, and that was enough for them to accept her on a provisional basis. Kayla was incredibly excited; it was her first time in a band and her first time performing in public. Everything was challenging but also very exciting. In rehearsals, she proved that she could play everything she needed to. And the band leader saw her potential. They prepared together, and a week later, the live performance for the town arrived. Everyone started playing well, but when it was Kayla's turn, she became very nervous. She wasn't used to seeing so many people watching her, with such high expectations. So, her nervousness caused her to lose her place in the music. She would sometimes be ahead of the band and sometimes behind.

Because of this, the performance was partly chaotic and partly a source of laughter from the audience. The musicians had to make several adjustments live to keep up with her increasingly clumsy rhythm. They barely finished the performance. The leader wasn't too harsh with her because he was friends with her cousin and didn't want to cause any trouble. But the other members of the group treated her very badly and told her directly that she was a burden and not suited for the role. After the presentation, the group went their separate ways. However, some of those group members made sure to spread the word that she wasn't very trustworthy, that she was just an annoying nuisance. This spread throughout Buskeria, and everyone in town found out.

Cuando se conocieron ella les demostró lo que sabía y eso les bastó para aceptarla de forma provisional. Kayla estaba súper emocionada era su primera experiencia en una banda, y la primera vez que iba a tocar en público. Todo era desafiante pero muy emociónate a la vez. En los ensayos ella demostró que si podía tocar todo lo que necesitaba. Y el líder de la banda vio que ella tenía potencial. Se prepararon juntos y en una semana había llegado la presentación en vivo para el pueblo. Todos comenzaron tocando bien, pero cuando fue el turno de Kayla ella se puso muy nerviosa. No estaba acostumbrada a ver a tantos mirándola, y con altas expectativas. Así que el nerviosismo la hizo perderse en la música. Lo mismo se adelantaba que se atrasaba.

A causa de esto la presentación fue en parte caos y risas por los asistentes. Los músicos tuvieron que hacer varias modificaciones en vivo para poder seguir su ritmo que se había vuelto muy torpe. Acabaron la presentación por los pelos. El líder no fue duro con ella porque era amigo de su primo y no quería tener problemas con el. Pero los demás miembros del grupo la trataron muy mal y le dijeron directamente que era una carga para ellos y que no estaba hecha para eso. Luego de terminar esa presentación el grupo de fue por su lado y ella por el suyo. Pero algunos de esos miembros del grupo se encargaron de dar a conocer a todos que ella no era muy confiable, que solo era una carga molesta. Esto se corrió por todo Buskeria y todos en el pueblo se enteraron.

This cost Kayla dearly; she now had a bad reputation. She spent years trying to get a job in a band after that incident, but they all rejected her because she was the lead pianist. She continued to improve and played better each time, but her past weighed more heavily than who she was now. What hurt her most was knowing that everything could have been different if they had been a little more patient with her and hadn't treated her so badly. Everyone makes mistakes. Seeing the situation, she didn't give up; she just kept preparing with the goal of one day being able to move forward.

She continued studying, practicing, and doing everything in her power to clean up her image. While looking for work in a band, she did everything: she played as a street musician, in bars and cafes, and many other places. It took a long time before a new band hired her again. But when it finally happened, she demonstrated her talent and how strong she was now. After that, everything changed. She showed the world how unfair they had been, because one mistake in a band couldn't possibly bury her entire previous career. She went from being a nobody to one of the most renowned pianists in Buskeria. That first band she was in knew what they had done, and one day, one way or another, they will have to pay for the damage to Kayla's image.

Esto le costó muy caro a Kayla, ahora tenía mala reputación. Pasó años intentando conseguir un puesto luego de aquello en alguna banda, pero todos la rechazaban porque era la pianista carga. Ella continuó mejorando y cada vez tocaba mejor, pero su pasado pesaba más que como era ella ahora. Lo que más le dolía era saber que todo pudo haber sido diferente si ellos le hubieran tenido un poco más de paciencia, y no la hubieran tratado tan mal. Todos se pueden equivocar. Viendo el panorama ella no se rindió, solo continuó preparándose con la meta de u día si poder salir adelante.

Siguió estudiando, practicando, y haciendo todo lo que estaba a su alcance por limpiar su imagen. Mientras encontraba trabajo en una banda hizo de todo, tocó como músico callejero, en bares y cafés y muchos lugares más. Pasó mucho hasta que una nueva banda la contratara de nuevo. Pero cuando por fin pasó, ella demostró su talento, y lo fuerte que estaba ahora. Luego de aquello todo fue historia, ella le demostró al mundo lo injustos que habían sido, porque por un error en una banda no podían sepultar toda la carrera de antes. Pasó de ser una don nadie a ser una de las pianistas más reconocidas de Buskeria. Aquella primera banda en donde estuvo supo lo que habían hecho, y algún día de una u otra forma tendrán que pagar el daño a la imagen de Kayla.
