Esta de hoy será sobre Kendal, ella es una cantante que tiene un evento especial preparado. Pero ese evento tendrá muchos contratiempos, será cuestión de ella si llega o no. Lo que sucederá lo podrán descubrir en la historia. Dicho esto pues ya podemos ir comenzando.

Finally, the big day had arrived. Kendal had been waiting for it for so long; it was the anniversary of her first released song. So much had happened since then, and it was that song that changed everything and introduced her to the world. That's why the concert prepared for that day was so special; it had finally arrived. The date couldn't be changed or postponed, as it would coincide with the anniversary and be out of time. Besides, given the number of fans and people who had come from far and wide to hear her, there was no way she could disappoint them.

For these reasons, nothing could stop her that day; the concert had to happen, no matter what. But nature had other plans for that day, plans that would complicate her journey and arrival at that very special concert. To begin with, the weather forecast had predicted heavy rain the night before. Since the concert venue was indoors, Kendal wasn't worried; no one would get wet. But this would bring consequences she hadn't yet considered.

La fecha no se podía cambiar ni aplazar ya que si no coincidiría con la fecha del aniversario y estaría fuera de tiempo. Además dado la cantidad de fans y personas que habían venido de muchas partes para poder escucharla no había forma de defraudarlos.

Por esas razones no era posible que nada la frenara ese día, debía darse el concierto si o si contra todo pronóstico. Pero la naturaleza tenía otros planes preparados para ese día que le iban a complicar la travesía y llegada a ese concierto tan especial. Para empezar desde la noche antes el estado meteorológico del tiempo había anunciado que habría fuertes lluvias en el día. Dado que el lugar para el concierto estaba bajo techo Kendal ni se preocupó, nadie se mojaría. Pero eso traería consecuencias que ella aún no tenia planeadas.

The weather forecast was right; that day began with torrential rain. It was expected to rain all day. But that was a walk in the park for her; it wasn't the first time she'd played in the rain. In fact, she even found the challenge somewhat interesting. Nothing was going to stop her, she kept telling herself. "Let it rain all it wants, I'll see you at the concert, no matter what." That's what she told her fans on her official account. Everyone was excited, as there were already people at the venue since the day before, having slept in tents and nearby hotels. They had come from far away to see her.

Since nothing could stop her, the caravan set off. There were three cars: one with her and her colleagues, the second with her entourage and musicians, and the third with her personal security. They had to travel approximately 72 kilometers, which wasn't too far, really. In about an hour's drive, they would be there at the concert.

El estado del tiempo no se equivocó ese día comenzó con aguas torrenciales. Se esperaba que se pasara todo el día lloviendo. Todos se animaron mucho pues ya había personas en el local desde el día antes que habían dormido en casas de campañas y hoteles cercanos. Habían venido desde muy lejos para poder verla.

Dado que nada la detuvo arrancó la caravana. Eran 3 autos, uno iba con ella y sus colegas de trabajo. El segundo iba con sus acompañantes y músicos y el tercero iba con su seguridad personal. Tenían que recorrer más o menos 72 kilómetros lo cual no era mucho la verdad, en cerca de una hora en auto estarían allá en el concierto.

The trip began around 10:00 AM, and they were relatively confident that everything would go smoothly. In the first 30 minutes, they made good progress, covering 42 kilometers, thanks to the clear road. The concert venue was well-chosen; it was going to be held in a small town away from the big cities to avoid the problems associated with them. But right at kilometer 43, the unexpected problems and setbacks began.

There was a section of the road that wasn't paved, and when the caravan of cars passed through it, they got stuck in the mud and couldn't move. Since the three cars were following one another, none of them had time to react, and so they all ended up completely mired in the mud. The torrential rain had made that unpaved section extremely slippery. None of the cars could get out. What a setback! Everything had been going so well. But what can you do? That's life. There was no other option; they had to call the road maintenance service.

Pues a eso de las 10 de la mañana comenzó el viaje, iban con relativa seguridad de que todo saldría súper bien. En los primeros 30 minutos de viaje adelantaron bastante, ya tenían recorrido 42 kilometros, eso fue gracias a que el camino estaba despejado. El lugar del concierto estaba bien pensado, se iba a hacer en una ciudad pequeña alejada de las grandes ciudades para evitar los problemas asociados con eso. Pero justo en el kilometro 43 empezaron los problemas y los contratiempos que nadie esperaba.

Había una parte de la carretera que no estaba asfaltada, cuando la caravana de autos pasó por esa parte se atascó en el barro y no podían moverse. Como iban los 3 autos detrás de otros ninguno tuvo tiempo de reaccionar a tiempo y por eso todos quedaron metidos completamente en el fango. El agua torrencial había hecho que esa parte sin asfalto se pusiera muy resbaladiza. Ninguno de los autos podía salir. Que contratiempo, tan bien que iba todo. Pero que se le va a hacer, así es la vida. No había más remedio había que llamar al servicio de carreteras.

Here's the new setback: the city was ideal for the concert because it was far from major cities, but there was no cell phone service in that part of the way. That complicated things, because they couldn't call anyone to get them out of there. There was no one nearby to ask for help either. The security team did everything they could to move the cars, but it was no use. They lost several hours doing that, and the hour the trip was supposed to take vanished.

Kendal had never missed a concert, and she wasn't going to miss that one either. The others were already thinking about canceling, but that wasn't going to happen. She took her umbrella out of the trunk and said she was going to walk. The others told her she was crazy, but she insisted; they had to follow her. They walked about 29 kilometers to get to the concert, exhausted, but she kept going. It was a brutal experience, but it was worth it. Everyone was happy, and Kendal maintains her personal record of never canceling a concert.

E aquí el nuevo contratiempo, la ciudad era ideal para concierto porque estaba alejada de las grandes ciudades, pero no había servicio celular en esa zona del camino. Kendal nunca había faltado a un concierto y ese día tampoco faltaría. Los demás ya pensaban en cancelarlo, pero eso no pasaría. Sacó su sombrilla del maletero, y dijo que iba a ir caminando. Los demás le dijeron que estaba loca, pero ella insistió, tuvieron que seguirla. Caminaron unos 29 kilómetros hasta llegar al concierto, muertos del cansancio pero se puso dar. Fue una experiencia brutal, pero valió la pena, todos quedaron contentos y Kendal sigue con su record personal de nunca cancelar un concierto.
