Yesterday I couldn't bring you a new story because I had some internet and electricity problems, but today I was finally able to write one and share it with you, which makes me happy. Today's story is about a girl named Laney. You'll see that she wants to achieve something, but she must face adversity to reach it. Saludos y buenas noches para todos queridos y estimados amigos de hive, que gusto me da poder estar de regreso por acá en Buskeria para compartirles mi nueva historia. En el día de ayer no pude traerles una nueva historia porque tuve algunos problemas con el internet y la electricidad, pero ya hoy si pude escribir una y poder traérselas y eso me hace feliz. Bueno esta de hoy será sobre una chica llamada Laney, verán que ella quiere alcanzar algo pero debe enfrentarse a la adversidad para poder alcanzarlo. Si quieren saber de qué se trata les invito a leer la historia. Dicho esto ya podemos comenzar.

For a long time now, Laney has been thinking about becoming a full-fledged singer. She has practiced and learned enough to know what she wants and how she wants it. She knows that singing is what gives her life true meaning. She hasn't told anyone yet that she wants to be a singer, not even her older sister or her mother, who lives with them. Everything she knows and has learned, she has acquired through self-study at home, thanks to courses she's found online. She practices in her room when no one is around. When she sings alone, she feels free, and that feeling is priceless.

She's been thinking about telling her sister and mother what she wants, but she's afraid of their reaction. Her sister wanted them both to be doctors; they used to play doctor when they grew up. Telling her that she now wants to be something else would make her sister feel betrayed. On the other hand, her mother had been saving for quite some time to help her pay for medical school, and telling her would be even more difficult because she was already making plans. It was this fear of how they would react that kept her from saying anything.

Desde hace ya un largo tiempo Laney viene pensando en la idea de hacerse una mujer cantante hecha y derecha. Ha practicado y a aprendido lo suficiente como para saber que es lo que quiere y como lo quiere. Sabe que cantar es lo que le da verdadero sentido a su vida. Aún ella no le ha contado a nadie que quiere ser cantante, ni siquiera a su hermana mayor, ni a su madre que vive junto a ellas. Todo lo que sabe y a aprendido lo ha conocido gracias a que lo ha aprendido de forma autodidacta en la casa gracias a cursos que ha visto en internet. Practica en su cuarto cuando no hay nadie. Cuando canta sola se siente libre y esa sensación no tiene precio.

Lleva pensando en confesarse a su hermana y a su madre de lo que quiere pero tiene temor de cual puede ser su reacción y es que por un lado su hermana quería que las dos fueran doctoras, de niñas jugaban a serlo cuando fueran grandes, decirle que ahora quería ser otra cosa haría que su hermana se sintiera traicionada. Y por el otro lado su madre ya estaba ahorrando desde hacía un buen tiempo para ayudarla a pagar sus estudios en la universidad de medicina, contarle a ella sería aún más difícil porque ella ya estaba haciendo planes. Por este miedo a como reaccionarían es que ella no les decía nada.

For the moment, she didn't want to confess anything to either of them, but she knew that at some point she would have to. She went to many studios in Buskeria, but most told her that her voice wasn't the best, that she wasn't good for the business.

Anyone in her situation would have given up, but Laney knew that somewhere in the land of musical opportunity there had to be a place for her, even if no one saw her potential at the moment. While searching for a producer, he learned that she was looking for someone to write and compose a song for her to sing. This producer had a songwriter and composer with a newly created song, but they hadn't yet found the perfect voice. Then the producer heard about Laney's situation and summoned her. When she gave them a sample of her singing, he was captivated; she was perfect for the song, so they hired her.

Por el momento no quiso confesarles nada a las dos pero sabía que en algún momento tendría que hacerlo. Mientras tanto comenzó a buscar algunas opciones para ir probando suerte y ver si de verdad podía ser cantante, así que cuando le contara a su hermana y madre ya había probado suerte y era más seguro decirles. Pero no fue tan sencillo todo como esperaba. Cuando visitó un estudio musical para intentar grabar una canción y ver si había alguien dispuesto a darle un tema escrito para ella cantarlo fue rechazada de inmediato luego de unas pruebas. Lo que pasaba es que no les gustaba su voz o como cantaba ella, así que la despreciaban. Esto le dolió mucho, pero tenía que ser fuerte y seguir buscando. Fue a muchos estudios de Buskeria, pero en la mayoría le decían que su voz no era la mejor, no era buena para el negocio.

Cualquiera en su situación se hubiera rendido, pero Laney sabía que algún lugar de la tierra de las oportunidades musicales tenía que haber un lugar para ella, aunque de momento nadie viera su potencial. Mientras buscaba un productor se enteró de que ella buscaba a alguien que le escribiera una canción y la compusiera para ella cantarla. Ese productor tenía un escritor y un compositor con un tema recién creado, pero aún no habían encontrado la voz perfecta. Lo que pasó fue que el productor se enteró del caso de Laney y la mandó a llamar. Cuando ella les hizo una muestra de su forma de cantar quedó encantado, era perfecta para la canción, así que la contrataron.

Laney was finally happy because someone had seen her potential. When she heard the newly recorded song, she was shocked; it was beautiful. Even she couldn't believe that was her voice. Of course, the producer and songwriters were thrilled and wanted to work with her again. She agreed, but only if the song performed well. Up to this point, Laney hadn't told her mother or sister anything. She trusted that the song itself would speak for her when they heard it on the radio. And that's exactly what happened. The song was released and became a sensation throughout Buskeria.

One way or another, the song reached her mother and sister. They were both very surprised. But Laney's method worked perfectly. Because the song was so successful, it was easier to explain that this was what she was going to do. And seeing the results and all the fame she now had, they gave in and were happy. With their support, she now felt stronger and more determined to pursue her dream of becoming a singer. It was a difficult journey to get here, but now it would be easier; she knows her voice will take her very far. A short time later, she celebrated her first concert; the three of them were there together.

Laney por fin estaba feliz porque alguien había visto su potencial. Cuando escuchó la canción recién grabada quedó en shock, era hermosa, ni ella misma creía que esa era su voz. Y claro el productor y los escritores quedaron encantados y querían trabajar con ella de nuevo. Ella dijo que si, pero en dependencia de los resultados de la canción. Hasta este punto Laney aún no le había dicho nada a su madre ni a su hermana, confiaba en que la misma canción se confesara por ella cuando la escucharan en la radio. Y justo así mismo pasó, la canción fue lanzada y fue sensación en todo Buskeria.

De una u otra forma la canción llegó hasta su madre y su hermana. Ambas quedaron muy sorprendidas. Pero el método que usó Laney funcionó a la perfección, al ser la canción tan exitosa fue más fácil explicarles que a eso se iba dedicar, y como ellas veían el resultado y toda la fama que ahora tenía cedieron y quedaron contentas. Con el apoyo de las dos ahora ella se sentía más fuerte para seguir buscando su sueño de ser cantante. Fue un recorrido complicado para llegar hasta aquí pero ahora sería más fácil, sabe que su voz la llevará muy lejos. Poco tiempo después celebró su primer concierto, allí estaban junto las 3.
