Good evening friends, a warm greeting to all. It's a pleasure to be back here at Buskeria to share my new story with you. This one is about the character Ruby. She's a girl who wants to be a singer, but to achieve it, she must move heaven and earth and face the most difficult challenges. Will she succeed? The answer, friends, is in the story. I hope you enjoy it; let's begin.

Buenas noches amigos, un gran saludo cordial para todos. Es un placer para mi estar de vuelta por acá en Buskeria para compartirles mi nueva historia. Esta le hecho sobre el personaje Ruby. Ella es una chica que quiere ser cantante, pero para lograrlo debe mover cielo y tierra y enfrentarse a lo más difícil. ¿Lo logrará? La respuesta amigos está en la historia. Espero que les guste, comenzamos.

Ruby was born happy; from a very young age, she knew the love of her parents. They always cared for her diligently and wanted the best for her in every aspect of her life. Her early childhood was very happy for everyone, and there were never any major problems beyond the occasional cold. Her parents wanted her to have a great and successful future, just like the one they had achieved. Both had studied medicine and were renowned doctors. They earned a lot of money and were completely fulfilled. Since they had been so successful, they wanted Ruby to have the same future.

When she was still little, she would tell them that yes, when she grew up, she was going to be a doctor. This made them very happy because their daughter was going to follow in their footsteps. Childhood flew by, and little by little, the time to choose what to be in life drew closer. Her parents had already planned everything: where she would study, which branch of medicine, for how long, and much more. Up until that point, Ruby also thought she would be a doctor someday, but things were about to change.

Ruby nació feliz, desde muy joven supo lo que era el amor de padre y madre. Ellos la cuidaron siempre con esmero y querían lo mejor para ella en cada cuestión de su vida. Los primeros años de la infancia fueron muy felices para todos y no hubo nunca problemas mayores, más allá de los resfriados. Los padres de ella querían que tuviera un gran futuro de éxito, justo como el que ellos habían conseguido. Ambos habían estudiado medicina y eran doctores de renombre. Ganaban mucho dinero y estaban completamente realizados. Como a ellos les había ido bien querían que Ruby pudiera tener ese mismo futuro.

Cuando aún era pequeña ella les decía que si, que cuando fuera grande iba a ser doctora. Eso los ponía muy contento a ellos, porque su hija iba seguir sus pasos. La niñez pasó volando y poco a poco se fue acercando el momento de elegir que ser en la vida. Y ya los padres de ella tenían todo previsto, donde estudiaría, que rama de la medicina, por cuanto tiempo lo haría y muchas cosas más. Hasta ese momento Ruby también pensaba que sería doctora en algún momento pero las cosas cambiarían pronto.

Ruby loved a band she listened to constantly, and she especially loved the story of the lead singer. She was a poor girl who had become a successful singer. This girl had shared everything she had achieved and how wonderful it was to be part of this beautiful world of music. She also encouraged young people to pursue their life goals. Until then, Ruby had never considered becoming a singer, but reflecting on the life of this girl she had admired for so long was making her think about it. Something happened at her school that finally made her decide. A teacher gave a talk about music and the opportunities all the students had to study it and become great singers.

The talk motivated her, and she truly wanted to be a singer too. She could easily choose it at school since she was a good student, but there was another problem. Her parents were the problem; it wouldn't be easy to convince them that she wanted to change her career path. Just imagining the conversation to tell them gave her chills. They had been longing for this moment for years, to see their daughter become a doctor. So telling them she wanted something else would be difficult. But Ruby understood that this decision was hers, and no one could change it, since it was her life. And she was certainly right.

That same day, when she got home, she told her parents. Since they hadn't expected that, they were very upset with her and absolutely forbade her from pursuing that career. They wanted what was best for her, and according to them, she could only achieve that by studying medicine. No one in the house ate that day; they lost their appetite. The next day, her parents tried to reason with her, but there was no way, so seeing this, they wanted to force her. Since it was what was best for her. At that moment, she felt so pressured that she didn't want to argue anymore. And that was the end of it.

A Ruby le gustaba una banda que escuchaba a cada momento del día, y le encantaba la historia de la cantante de la banda. Ella era una chica pobre que había conseguido ser una cantante de éxito. Esa chica había contado todo lo que había conseguido y lo lindo que es formar parte de este bello mundo musical. También exhortó a los jóvenes que siguieran sus objetivos de vida. Hasta ese momento Ruby nunca pensó en ser cantante pero estar meditando en la vida de esa chica a la que seguía desde hacía tiempo le estaba haciendo planteárselo. Para terminar de decidirse pasó algo en su escuela. Una maestra dio una charla de música y sobre las posibilidades que tenían todos los estudiantes de poder estudiar esa carrera y ser grandes cantantes.

La charla la motivó y de verdad quería ser una cantante también, podía elegirla fácilmente en la escuela ya que era buena estudiante pero el problema era otro. Sus padres eran este problema, no sería fácil convencerlos de que quería cambiar de carrera. Solo imaginarse la conversación para decírselos le daba escalofríos. Ellos llevaban años deseando ese gran momento, ver a su hija doctora. Así que decirles que quieres otra cosa sería difícil. Pero Ruby entendía que esa decisión era de ella, y nadie podía cambiarlo, ya que era su vida. Y ciertamente tenía razón.

Ese mismo día cuando llegó a la casa se lo contó a sus padres. Como no se esperaban eso se molestaron mucho con ella y le prohibieron rotundamente seguir esa carrera. Ellos querían lo mejor para ella y eso según ellos solo lo podría conseguir en la carrera de medicina. Nadie ese día en la casa comió, se les fue el apetito. Al otro día sus padres intentaron hacerla entrar en razón pero no hubo forma, así que viendo esto ellos querían obligarla. Ya que era lo mejor para ella. Ella en ese momento se vio tan presionada que no quiso seguir discutiendo. Y todo quedó ahí.

But she didn't sit idly by; she would try to do something even if her parents forbade it. She began taking music lessons outside of school. She did this secretly for over a year. And she managed to learn to sing quite well. When she knew enough, it was time to go out into the world and be a singer like the girl she looked up to, but she still needed her parents' approval, and Ruby wanted it. She didn't want to hurt them, so she devised a plan to show them that music was the best thing for her. She waited until the end of the school year when there was a school activity where some students sang songs. Her parents would attend since it was a school-organized event.

Pero ella no se quedó de brazos cruzados, intentaría hacer algo aunque sus padres se lo prohibieran. Empezó a tomar clases de música de forma extra clase. Así lo hizo a escondidas por más de un año. Y logró aprender canto con buena habilidad. Cuando sabía suficiente era el momento de salir al mundo y ser una cantante como la chica a la que ella tenía como ejemplo, pero aún faltaba la aprobación de sus padres, y Ruby la quería. No quería hacerlos sufrir, así que ideó un plan para demostrarles que lo mejor para ella era la música. Esperó a fin de curso cuando se hace una actividad escolar en la que algunos alumnos cantan canciones. Sus padres asistirían ya que era una actividad convocada por la escuela.

Ruby secretly arranged to be the singer at the event. She wanted to surprise them and show them that music was her passion and the most important thing in her life. When the moment arrived, everyone was in their seats waiting when Ruby suddenly appeared in a formal gown to sing. Her parents were stunned; they couldn't believe it. Ruby gave it her all; her song was beautiful. Tears streamed down her parents' faces as they realized they had been wrong just by listening to her. Ruby approached them and told them when she finished that she would be a singer, not a doctor. Her parents hugged her and gave her their approval, but they only gave it because she had truly shown that she loved music. Now it's up to Ruby to keep striving to one day become a great singer.

Ruby en secreto organizó ser la cantante del evento, quería sorprenderlos para demostrarles que la música era lo de ella y era lo importante en su vida. Cuando llegó el momento todos estaban en sus asientos esperando cuando de pronto sale Ruby con un traje de gala para cantar. Sus padres se quedaron sorprendidos, no lo podían creer. Ruby dio todo de si misma, fue hermosa su canción. Las lagrimas de sus padres corrían, pues entendieron que estaban equivocados con solo escucharla. Ruby se acercó a ellos y les dijo al terminar que ella sería cantante no doctora. Sus padres la abrazaron y le dieron su aprobación, pero se la dieron porque ella demostró de verdad que amaba la música. Ahora le toca a Ruby continuar luchando para algún día ser una gran cantante.
