Greetings, dear friends. Today I'm going to share with you the story I've written about Willis. As you'll see, he's someone who wants to be a pianist, but he has a limitation that seems to be preventing him from achieving that goal. Un cordial saludo estimados amigos, hoy les voy a compartir la historia que he escrito sobre Willis. Como verán es alguien que quiere ser pianista, pero tiene una limitación que parece que no quiere dejarle alcanzar esa meta. Si quieren saber de qué se trata pues como siempre digo podrán conocerlos en la historia por eso les invito a leerla, espero que les guste, dicho esto comenzamos.

Willis was born like any other child, normal and eager to learn and conquer the world when he grew up. Unfortunately, his life changed very early on, severely limiting all the dreams he had for his future. A brain disease took his sight, leaving him blind for life. This happened when he was still a child, so he didn't understand what was happening or why he could no longer see.

His parents bore the brunt of his suffering because, since their son didn't know what was wrong with him, he often asked them when he would be able to see again after losing his sight. This was incredibly difficult and devastated them. They didn't know how to answer him. How do you tell your child that he will never see again after having had a happy childhood with his sight until recently? They simply had no words to express their immense pain, and at least initially, they weren't able to tell him what had happened.

Willis nació como cualquier otro niño, era normal y con muchos deseos de aprender y de comerse el mundo cuando fuera grande. Lamentablemente para el su vida cambió desde muy temprano, lo que limitó muchísimo todos los sueños que tenía para cuando un dia fuera mayor. Una enfermedad del cerebro le quitó la vista, dejándolo ciego de por vida. Esto ocurrió siendo aún niño, así que el no entendía nada de lo que estaba pasando y porque ya no podía ver nada.

Los que se llevaron una gran parte del sufrimiento fueron sus propios padres, porque como su hijo no sabia lo que tenia a menudo luego de perder la vista les preguntaba cuando podría ver de nuevo. Eso era realmente duro, y los destruía por dentro. No sabían que responderle. Como le dices a tu hijo que no verá más nunca luego de haber tenido una niñez feliz y con vista hasta hace poco tiempo. Simplemente ellos no tenían palabras para expresar su gran dolor, y al menos al inicio no fueron capaces de contarle que era lo que le había pasado.

As time passed, with the help of psychologists, they found a way to tell him. By the time he fully understood, he was already a teenager. But it was also very hard to learn. He had always hoped to see again, and now he knew the truth. He felt immense despair inside; it was heartbreaking to know you were trapped in darkness forever. There was no light, and there never would be. Because of this, Willis fell into a deep depression. He stopped eating and grew increasingly sad; nothing motivated him or gave him the will to live.

In fact, although he hadn't told anyone, deep down he wished he could die, disappear from this unfair life that had taken everything from him. He didn't expect to live like this forever; one day he would disappear from this world. His parents knew this could happen, which is why they were always watching over him.

Ya pasando el tiempo con ayuda de los psicólogos ellos hallaron la forma de decírselo, para cuando lo entendió bien ya era un adolescente. Pero fue también muy duro saberlo, el siempre tuvo la esperanza de volver a ver y ahora sabia la verdad. El sentía mucho desespero en su interior, era muy desesperante saber que estás atrapado en la oscuridad para siempre. No hay luz, no la habrá jamás. A causa de esto Willis entró en una gran depresión. Dejó de comer y cada vez estaba más triste, nada lo motivaba ni le daba deseos de vivir.

De hecho aunque no le había dicho a nadie en su interior deseaba morir, desaparecer de esta vida tan injusta que le había quitado todo. El no esperaba vivir así para siempre, algún desaparecería de este mundo. Sus padres sabían que esto podía suceder por eso siempre estaban cuidándolo.

While he was consumed by his deep depression, his parents did everything they could to help him find meaning in his life. They spoke with many specialists, but none could find a good solution. Then, a family friend offered to help. He would stay with Willis on weekends so they could have a day off and a break, as the situation was quite exhausting.

This family friend was a pianist, and when he stayed with Willis, he would play piano pieces he had recorded on his cell phone. In those brief moments when he played the music, the depression seemed to disappear. He loved the sound of the piano. Seeing this result, the friend spoke with the parents and told them what he had discovered. So, he came up with an idea: buy him a piano. That was the best decision they could have ever made to help him.

Mientras el se consumía en su gran depresión sus padres hacían todo lo que podían para ayudarlo a darle sentido a su vida. Hablaron con muchos especialistas, pero ninguno daba con una buena solución. Pero uno de los amigos de la familia se ofreció para ayudarlos, el se quedaría con el los fines de semana para que ellos pudieran tener un día libre y un descanso, ya que aquella situación era un poco agotadora.

Este amigo de la familia era pianista, y cuando se quedaba con Willis le ponía algunas canciones que había grabado en su celular de pianos. En ese breve momento en el que le ponía la música la depresión parecía desaparecer en el. Le gustaba mucho el sonido del piano. Viendo este resultado el amigo habló con los padres y les dijo lo que había descubierto. Así que se le ocurrió una idea, comprarle un piano. Esa fue la mejor decisión que jamás habrían tomado para ayudarlo.

They bought Willis a piano, and for the first time in a long time, he laughed, and a little joy returned. But he didn't know how to play. That wasn't a problem, though; a family friend came every day to teach him, and Willis quickly developed skills. Being blind, he had a great sense of touch. It took him a few years to learn, but he finally mastered it. Once he had taught his case, he became known throughout Buskeria. He received numerous job offers as a pianist, and he accepted them all. The outcome of all this is that his life regained meaning, and now he has something to strive for. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, as they say, and it's true.
