During my travels, I've been discoving new coin stores in my area. I found "Mike's Coin and Collectables" full of fun treasure.
I picked up some nice 40% silver coins on the cheap. With silver over $30/ozt it's a whole new world buying silver. I used to carry $10 in my wallet for quick silver pickups, but that has doubled to $20. Still a good deal, in my estimation.
After purchasing these three coins for twenty dollars total, I asked my computer buddy if I managed a profitable trade.
Estimating between 24 - 38 tells me that yes, it was a good trade for me. The quarter in particular would grade high, while the others only average.
I asked again, what is the silver melt value of these coins and I discovered I purchased these for about 20% above melt.
It was a win in my book and I will be visiting again for sure. He said that more people are selling right now, rather than buying. Maybe that's why he let these go for such a good rate.
