NASA was the perfect shield for all those US military dollars. As a kid in the 80s my folks took us to the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, FL and for a kid, it was awesome! As I got older and realized what NASA was I understood why it was so cool for kids...it was window dressing, a way to fool the parents too.

That's funny about Eisenhower and his note about the Military Industrial Complex. Did he have a brief feeling of remorse for creating what he was warning folks about???

Guess we'll never know. Interesting post though.
