Greetings, everyone! For those of you who have been following my latest posts, I don't think you expected or saw many signs that I was going to retire from the game. The truth is that it's a decision I've made in the last few days.

I started playing Splinterlands again in April this year, and since then, I've played almost every month (except August). Over time, after playing so consistently, I ended up getting a little tired of playing. This usually happens to me with games that I've loved my whole life, so why wouldn't it happen with Splinterlands?
The truth is that I'm also slowly moving away from the Hive chain. Honestly, I feel that many things are not being done well and that support for small developers is quite limited.
But the truth is that I don't want to use this post to give the reasons for my departure, but rather to review everything I gained during almost a year of playing. Without further ado, let's get started!
Arranqué nuevamente con Splinterlands en abril de este año y desde ese momento, prácticamente no paré de jugar durante casi todos los meses (excepto agosto). Con el paso del tiempo, después de tener tanta constancia, la verdad es que me terminé cansando un poco de jugar. Esto me suele pasar con juegos que amo de toda la vida, ¿por qué no me pasaria con Splinterlands?
Lo cierto es que también me estoy alejando poco a poco de la cadena de Hive. Sinceramente, siento que muchas cosas no se están haciendo bien y que el apoyo hacia los desarrolladores pequeños es bastante limitado.
Pero la verdad es que esta publicación no la quiero usar para dar los motivos de mi salida, sino que quiero repasar todo lo que obtuve durante casi un año de juego. Sin más que decir, ¡empecemos!
This year, I've played a ton of games in Modern Ranked mode, where I've played almost 2,000 games throughout the year.
With that many games, at my best I managed to fight my way to a fairly high rank at the end of the season: Diamond III. Beyond that, I've never managed to advance, although I was satisfied with the rewards I was receiving.
That streak lasted until they removed the Chaos Legion cards from Modern Ranked, because when I had to start using the new Rebellion cards, I wasn't really up to the task and was averaging Gold seasons at best. That's why I ended up switching to Wild Ranked so I could play with a set I knew almost by heart.
I also played about a thousand games in Wild Ranked, until I ended up hiring the services of xbot and they started playing for me. So I've completed at least 5,000 games this year with a fairly even win rate. I had more games from another year where I had hired another service but never put in any cards, so I farmed quite a few losses.
Durante este año, he jugado un montón de partidas en la modalidad Modern Ranked, dónde he jugado casi unas 2000 partidas durante todo el año.
Con esa cantidad de partidas, en mi mejor momento he logrado pelear para terminar una temporada en un rango bastante alto: Diamante III. Más alla de eso, nunca he logrado avanzar de ahi, aunque me conformaba con las recompensas que iba recibiendo.
Ese prime duró hasta que sacaron las cartas de Chaos Legion de Modern Ranked, porque cuando me tocó empezar a usar las nuevas de Rebellion, la verdad es que no estuve a la altura y estuve promediando temporadas en Oro nada más. Es por ello, que me terminé pasando a Wild Ranked para poder jugar con un set que me conocia casi de memoria.
En Wild Ranked también he jugado unas mil partidas, hasta que terminé contratando los servicios de xbot y empezaron a jugar por mi. Asi que he completado al menos unas 5000 partidas en este año con un promedio de winrate bastante parejo. Tenia más partidas de otro año dónde habia contratado otro servicio pero nunca habia puesto cartas, asi que farmee bastantes derrotas.
This year, I've also managed to build up a pretty powerful card collection. It's a mix of epic and legendary cards from the Rebellion and Conclave Arcana reward sets, which will probably come in handy in Modern Ranked in the future.
It's difficult to show all the cards I've accumulated over this time, so I'll just take a photo of the epic and legendary cards, which are the strongest ones I have. However, if I count all the cards I've gotten, I've managed to amass a powerful 191,000 collection power, which has allowed me to play in several tournaments without having to rent cards.

Another collection I was able to significantly expand was the Gladiator set. I obtained an excessive amount of merits from opening chests, which allowed me to open Gladius Cases quite often and fill up on these types of cards.

Over the course of this year, I have been part of a guild called Phoenix IVY that competes in tier 4 battles, which has allowed me to accumulate an excessive amount of SPS and MERITS.
The truth is that despite having little contact, the guild members have always been pleasant and have never asked me for donations or warned me for forgetting to participate in the occasional battle.

It may not seem like much, but the truth is that the value of all the SPS I had was gradually falling. At its peak this year, the amount I have now could easily have been worth double or almost triple.
Pareciera que no es tanto, pero lo cierto es que el valor de todo el SPS que tenía fue cayendo de a poco. En su mejor momento del año, la cantidad que tengo ahora podría haber valido tranquilamente el doble o casi el triple.

No me queda mucho más que contarles. La verdad es que estoy bastante agradecido con la activa comunidad que tiene Splinterlands, que siempre me brindó soporte con todas las dudas que tenia sobre el juego.
